MAP LOCATION OSI maps of 1838-1845 and 1898-1913 place it in the townland of Merrion
and it is annotated as Temora on both.
GENERAL Described as an non basement house on 6 acres with 5 Bedrooms when put up
for sale in 1883. It had a short carriage drive and a gatelodge. The name of the house was changed
from Temora, (another word for Tara - the seat of the high kings of Ireland) to Pranstown House
circa 1950.
YEAR BUILT circa 1830
VALUATION In 1887 the valuation was 62 pounds and in the 1911 census it is noted as
having 11 rooms occupied by family.
