NAME                             Palermo/Taunus

AREA LOCATION         Leopardstown Road

MAP LOCATION          OSI maps of 1898-1913 place it in the townland of Galloping Green South.
 
GENERAL                      A detached two storey three bay house with large rooms and frontage of 240'
to the Leopardstown Road.  It started life as Palermo and was used initially as an overflow for the
Foxrock Hotel.  The dining room was 18' x 15' and the sitting room was 20' x 16'.  It had a front and
aside bay window and a simple central door topped by a semi elliptical overlight typical of houses
built on the Foxrock estate.  It had a pitched slightly overhanging slate roof with bracketed eves.

VALUATION                 In 1888 the valuation was 30 pounds.
