annotated as Wood View and Woodview respectively.
GENERAL A large seven bay non basement plain Georgian house with bow return, originally
approached by a long tree lined avenue and gatelodge opposite to what is now Nutley Park. Set in a
parkland with ornamental streams, footbridge and a large hexagonal walled garden to the southwest with
outline still visible on map of 1938. It was for sale in 1913 on 17 acres and also in 1953 with the same
amount of acres intact. It has a peach house, vinery and tennis court.
YEAR BUILT circa 1820
VALUATION Valuation 164L in 1848 and in the 1911 census it is noted as having 13
rooms occupied by family.
