MAP LOCATION        OSI maps of 1838-1845 and 1898-1913 place it in the townland of Blackrock
                                      and it is annotated as Field Villa and Woodville respectively.  
                                     
GENERAL                     A detached house close to Laurel hill with an entrance via a carriage drive
and gatelodge on Rock Hill.  The name was changed to from Field Villa to Woodville circa 1867.

VALUATION                In 1874 the valuation was 43 pounds and the 1901 census it is noted as
                                       having 14 rooms occupied by family.
