Drommartin Hill
NAME Dromartin/Drommartin Hill/Dromartin Hill
AREA LOCATION Upper Kilmacud Road, adjacent to Airfield.
MAP LOCATION OSI maps of 1838-1845 and 1898-1913 place it in the townland of
Drummartin and it is annotated as Drummartin House and Drummartin Hill
respectively.
GENERAL Originally a two story cottage with low door opes and low ceilings. Much
extended in the late 1800's. Anthony Byrne Darcy held the lease in 1849. This house may have
been known as Annemount, a lodging house run by the O'Connor family. Described as detached
with nine apartments, coach house, stable and garden in 1870 and 1883 when for Let by J O'Connor of
Kevin Street.

VALUATION In 1875 the valuation was 43 pounds by 1879 the valuation is split (2 x 10L)
