and it is annotated as Clareville on both.
GENERAL Clareville, a mid eighteenth century house in the grounds of Blackrock College,
demolished in 1990 and replaced by the two modern houses on Cross Avenue. Described as two storey
with a gazebo window (central bay) by the builder. In 1900 is was described as a charming villa with fine
well wooded grounds on 6 acres when it was sold to Blackrock College as a residence for the Missionary
Fathers of the Holy Ghost.

VALUATION In 1862 the valuation was 62 pounds.
