NAME The Rectory
AREA LOCATION St Brigid's Church Road opposite St John of God.

GENERAL Land was leased by the Representative Church Body for 995 years from
Colonel Kenney of Woodview for a new rectory to be built. Building work commenced in 1881 and
the building was fully paid for by 1890. The Architect was James Franklin Fuller and the builders
were Collen Bros of 5 Clanwilliam Place. Fuller also designed a new pulpit for the church in 1880,
which was executed in oak by Henry Sharpe of Kells at a cost of £50. In 1884 gates and railings to
surround the lawn were added at a cost of £20.

VALUATION The estimated cost of the built was £2300 and the valuation in 1896 was £60.
