Hollywood House
NAME Hollypark/Hollywood House
AREA LOCATION Mount Anville Road close to the Goatstown junction.
MAP LOCATION OSI maps of 1898-1913 place it in the townland of Roebuck.
GENERAL Large Victorian three bay, two storey over basement house. It has
a rendered façade of smooth plaster with projecting quoins and a corniced parapet. It
has a slated and hipped roof. Entrance by way of a short flight of granite steps to a split
door topped by a large fanlight with glazed panels on either side. Period features include
two Adams marble fireplaces and ornate cornices. It was for sale in 1858 on 18 acres
with a number of small houses and cottages on a detached part of the grounds. It had a
gatelodge and the main house was approached by a long carriage drive.
