GENERAL Originally called Taney Lodge the name was changed to Woodlawn circa 1863.
It started life as a farmhouse in 1799 on 180 acres and has been much extended. It now stands on
⅓ acre and has a conservatory that is attributed to Richard Turner.
YEAR BUILT circa 1799
VALUATION In 1896 the valuation was 90 pounds and in the 1901 census it is noted as
having 11 rooms occupied by family.
