NAME Rosemount
AREA LOCATION Gardeners Row, Booterstown/12 Rosemount Terrace, Booterstown.
MAP LOCATION OSI maps of 1838-1845 and 1898-1913 place it in the townland of Booterstown
and it is annotated as Rosemount on both.
GENERAL Five bay, two storey over basement residence approached by a handsome
carriage drive, with gate lodge at entrance. It has a curved contemporary gatescreen with pedestrian
gate opes either side of the main gate. Gates now in situ appear to be 19th century. It had two
entrance halls both front and rear. Many extensions have been added over the years. The gatelodge
and coach house are still extant.
YEAR BUILT circa 1760
VALUATION In 1887 the valuation was 80 pounds and in the 1901 census it is noted as
having 17 rooms occupied by family.
