Brewery Cottages 1-6/Grange Cottages 1-3
NAME Brewery/Grange Cottages
AREA LOCATION Corner of Bray Road and Brewery Road
MAP LOCATION
GENERAL Vernacular cottages on the Bray Road at the bottom of Brewery Road and
further and the site of what is now the Leopardstown Inn. In 1901 the cottages were provided
with a water fountain by Rathdown Council. In 1950 a CPO was issued on a portion of the front
gardens and sanitary accommodation by Dublin County Council to allow for the widening of the
Bray Road. Each of the Grange Cottages lost approx 2 roods and 2 passageways which were
used in common by the three occupiers.
In 1928 there were 6 Brewery Cottages but tenants are not listed in Thom's.
