GENERAL Semi detached villa conjoined with Netley. A jar with 400 old silver coins
found in a sewer on South Hill Avenue behind the house in 1866 dating back to Charles II. It
had a pleasure ground, garden, lock-up yard, coach house and stabling for two horses. It was
part of the de Burgh estate in 1902 and was rented at £80 per annum and was for sale in 1941
on 2 acres.

VALUATION In 1872 the valuation was 46 pounds and in the 1901 census it is noted as
having 8 rooms occupied by family.
