GENERAL It was leased to Paul Dane, agent to the Earl of Belmore and Mrs M
Thompson by the Bentley Bros for £15 per annum for 900 years from 1860 to 1867 and
was. Non basement house on 1½ statute acres, with a coal vault, water closet and stabling
for two horses. It had three reception rooms, three bedrooms and a bathroom. When it
was for sale in 1955 it was still on 1½ acres and was described as being in a rural setting
overlooking Foxrock Golf Club with a sweeping gravel drive from the entrance gate. It
had five bedroom, two reception tooms , bathrooms and servants room. The enclosed
yard held a garage, stable and gardener's accommodation. It had a kitchen garden, orchard,
two greenhouses and two summerhouses.
YEAR BUILT circa 1860
VALUATION In 1874 the valuation was 82 pounds and on the 1901 census it is
noted as have 14 rooms occupied by family.
