Edward Le Grand Adams born 3 Jan 1851 at Clarence, Erie County, New York. He was
the youngest son of Benjamin T Adams, an insurance agent, and Janette Gibson from
Ontario. He was educated at Clarence Academy, Brockport State School and Rochester
University. He was an editor of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle from 1873 to
1880 and he was also the operator and producer of an oilfield from 1880 to 1883. He
was editor of the Elmira Daily Advertiser from 1883 to 1898.
He was appointed secretary to the American Legation, and Consul General to Sweden
in 1902 and remained in Stockholm until 1909. He was the consul at Dublin from 1910
to 1919. They were living at Leeson Park in 1911 and they had four children of whom
three survived. Edward died at Rosemount, Booterstown on 2 Oct 1928, the home of
his son in law. His remains were repatriated and he was buried at Woodlawn cemetery.
Kate died 12 Feb 1929 at Brooklyn NY at the home of her daughter Alice.

Alice died unmarried on 25 Jan 1960 and was buried at Woodlawn.
2 Katherine Adams younger daughter born circa 1885. She was living with her
parents at Leeson Park in 1911. She married Percy Alexander Walker on
1 Jun 1926 at Chemung, New York. Percy was an insurance official and the only
son of James Alexander Walker, an accountant of SCR, Kilmainham. Percy died in
London on 20 Apr 1962 and was buried at Woodlawn. Katherine died
17 Oct 1969 in London and was buried with her husband.
3 Edward Le Grand Adams born 16 Oct 1892 at Elmira NY. He was living with his
parents at Leeson Park in 1911. He died in Paddington, London in July 1929.
