John Shannon born circa 1841 in Carlow son of Michael and Esther Shannon married Anna
Swan on 16 Jun 1864 at Booterstown Church.  He was a labourer living at Hollywood in
Roebuck.  Anna was living at Bootertsown and was the daughter of Michael and Margaret
Swan.  John was a labourer working at Fern Hill from 1869 to 1871 and living with ex fellow
labourer Peter Rooney in 1901 at Stillorgan.

1            Michael Shannon born 15 Apr 1865 at Belfield, Dundrum.  He was a labourer and
              died a bachelor on 20 Mar 1887 at Goatstown.  His sister Margaret the informant.

2            Thomas Shannon born 27 Nov 1866 at Belfield, Roebuck.  He was an unmarried
              gardener working in Drummartin in 1901 and in Miltown in 1911.

3            Anne Shannon born 21 Sep 1869 at Fern Hill died in 1870.

4            Margaret  Shannon born 5 Nov 1871 at Fern Hill.  She married James Sutton on
              4 Nov 1900 at Holy Cross Church, Dundrum.  James was resident at Westbury,
              Stillorgan and was working as a gardener there.  He was the son of Jeremiah Sutton
​              and Elizabeth Redmond of Old Connaught, Rathmichael.
