William Holden born circa 1771 in Liverpool, son of Thomas Holden an engineer
and his wife Sara. He married Ada Ann Cooper, daughter of Thomas Cooper a clerk
of 24 Vallery Road, Liverpool at SS Simon and Jude in Anfield on 22.06.1899.
William worked as a book-keeper before becoming secretary to a Colliery firm in
Liverpool and the family were living at 6 St John's Avenue, Walton, Liverpool in 1911.
William moved to Ireland after 1918 and was a coal importer and the family were living
at Temora by 1928. He was made a Justice of the Peace for the City and County of Dublin
in 1930. William died 12.09.1934 aged 63 at Temora and Ada died at the home of her
daughter, Rathbeg, Shankhill on 08.04.1959. Both William and Ada were buried at
Deansgrange.
1 Thomas Kingsley Holden born 18.03.1900 Liverpool attended Longmoor Lane
Council School and Liverpool Collegiate School. He died at Northallerton
Yorkshire in 1973.
2 William Arnold Holden born 22.03.1901 in Liverpool and attended Liverpool
Collegiate School in 1913.
3 Marion Marguerite Holden only daughter born 04.05.1904 at Liverpool and
attended Longmoor Lane County School. Marion married Captain Percival St
George Lambkin son of Charles Ernest Lambkin a Wine Merchant and Sophia
Lynch in July 1932 at Amersham, Buckinghamshire. Captain Percival St. George
Lambkin served in World War 1, 5th Leinster Regiment. Percy was a bank
director and died 31.05.1960 (70) at 3-4 Upper Pembroke St late of Westminster
Road, Foxrock.
4 Edward Stanley Holden born 06.09.1907 Liverpool and attended Liverpool
Collegiate School in 1918.
