Thomas Keogh born circa 1796 married Julia. Thomas died 25 Jun 1871 aged 75 at Stillorgan and was
buried at Deansgrange. Julia died 12 Jan 1880 aged 75 at Rathdown workhouse, late of Stillorgan and
was buried with her husband.

2 Thomas Keogh baptised at Booterstown 16 Mar 1845 died young.
3 Thomas Keogh born 14 Sep 1851 married Elizabeth White at Booterstown Church on
6 Feb 1876. She was the daughter of Patrick White, a labourer from Galloping Green and his
wife Maria. Elizabeth died 27 Apr 1883 aged 25 and was buried at Deansgrange.
Thomas, a labourer secondly married Catherine Cassidy at Booterstown on 26 Feb 1884.
Catherine born circa 1862 in County Cavan was the daughter of John Cassidy, a labourer.
She was a servant at Gracefield, Waltham Terrace, Blackrock at the time of her marriage. They
moved to Stillorgan where all their children were born. In 1911 their niece Catherine Cassidy
daughter of Patrick Cassidy was living with them. In later years her brother Thomas Cassidy
lived with them. Catherine died 20 Apr 1910 and Thomas died on 3 Jun 1923 at Loughlinstown
Hospital. Catherine, her brother Thomas and her husband were buried together at Deansgrange.
1 Julia Keogh born 21 Jun 1884 at Stillorgan was a dress maker in 1901. She married Matthew
McCann son of Hugh McCann, a labourer at Kilmacud Church on 25 Nov 1906. Matthew was
a labourer aged 25 and was living at Kenny’s Court, Blackrock. They lived at (House No 17 on
1911 census) Kilmacud Road and Christy her brother and Mary Cassidy, daughter of Patrick
Cassidy boarded with them. It was a two roomed cottage with 2 windows to the front.
Matthew a gardener died 20 Mar 1947 at 18 Kilmacud Road and Julia died 25 Jul 1967 at 8
The Chalets, Ard Lorcain, both were buried at Deansgrange with their son John.

when he married Mary Daly from Tyrrellspass, daughter of James Daly at Kilmacud
Church on 9 Jun 1929.
2 Mary McCann born 12 Sep 1908 at Stillorgan married Paul O’Neill at Kilmacud Church
on 31 Aug 1930. Paul was an conductor with Dublin United Tramway company, son
of Paul O’Neill, a driver with The DUTC and lived at Connaught Street. They were living
at 15 Beaufield in 1947.
3 Hugh McCann born 23 Apr 1909 at Stillorgan worked at the Hosiery Factory in Blackrock
and lived at 46 Sweetman's Avenue. He married Mary Martha Cullen of 16 Crosthwaite
Park South and daughter of Edward Cullen, a labourer at St Michael's Church in
Kingstown on 29 Aug 1942.
4 Matthew McCann born 24 Apr 1912 at Kilmacud a labourer living at 18 Kilmacud Road
when he married Frances Cullen, of 1 Newpark and daughter of Edward Cullen, a farmer
at St Catherine’s Church, Dublin on 24 Jun 1936.
5 James McCann born 22 Jul 1913 at Stillorgan.
6 Julia McCann born 20 Jan 1915 at Kilmacud died at Kilmacud 2 Feb 1915.
7 John McCann born 17 Jan 1917 at Stillorgan died at Stillorgan 28 Dec 1922 and was
buried at Deansgrange.
8 Christopher McCann born 10 Jan 1919 at Stillorgan married and they lived at 46 St
Lawrence’s Park.
9 Kathleen McCann born circa 1920 at Stillorgan died a spinster at 72 St Lawrence's Park in
November 1996.
2 Thomas Keogh born 25 Jun 1885 in Stillorgan was a garden boy in 1901.
3 John Keogh born 10 Aug 1886 in Stillorgan was a messenger boy in 1901. He was a labourer living at
11 Kilmacud Road when he married Mary Cahill, daughter of Timothy Cahill at Cabinteely RC Church
on 19 Sep 1911. Mary was working as a servant at The Grange, Kill o' the Grange at the time of her
marriage. His brother James and Katie Robinson were the witnesses.
4 Denis Patrick (James) Keogh born 19 Jan 1888 was a messenger boy in 1901. He married
Catherine (Kathleen) Robinson 12 Jan 1914 at Kilmacud Church. Catherine was the daughter of
James Robinson and Julia Cantwell from Stillorgan. James was a van man in 1914 living at Dublin
Road Stillorgan and a soldier in 1915 discharged the same year. In later years, he worked for the
council as a labourer and was known as James 'sniper' Keogh and a first WW1 veteran so it is
possible that he rejoined the army after his discharge. Kathleen died at the Camden Hospital on
25 May 1925 aged 35 late of 21 Kilmacud Road and was buried with her father at Deansgrange.
James died at Columcille's Hospital 6 Jul 1966 late of 14 St Lawrence's Park and was buried with
Kathleen.
1 Catherine Keogh born 1 Apr 1914 at Holles Street Hospital. Kathleen marred Francis
Croasdell on 29 Oct 1934 at Rathfarnham RC Church. Francis was a concrete worker
living at Glenard, Firhouse and the son of Michael Croasdell, who was in the army.
and Mary Julia Wright. Francis died 13 Jul 1958 aged 49 at Sir Patrick Dun's Hospital
late of Sweetbriar Lane, Kilmacud.

4 Anna Pauline Keogh born circa 1923 married Osmond Kilkenny on 8 Jul 1946 at
Kilmacud Church.
5 Christopher (Christy) Keogh born 29 Dec 1890 at Stillorgan married Lucy McKenna at Kilmacud
Church on 14 Feb 1912. He was a gardener living at Kilmacud with his sister Julia McCann.
Lucy was the daughter of James McKenna, a carpenter and was working as a teacher in a National
School. They were living on Kilmacud Road in 1921 when the village of Stillorgan was raided by
the military. Christy worked as a labourer/gardener at Redesdale House. He died 9 Aug 1955
at St Vincent’s Hospital, late of 23 Kilmacud Road. Lucy died at Ardlorcain Flats on 23 Mar 1979
aged 91. She and Christy were buried at Deansgrange.

Kilmacud when he married Mary Mulvihill of 3 The Rise, Mount Merrion and
daughter of Michael Mulvihill a gardener at Kilmacud Church on 25 Jul 1945. Thomas
and Mary were living at 22 Kilmacud Road in 1955. Thomas died 1 Mar 1986 at 19
Ardlorcain, Stillorgan and Mary died 15 Jul 2005 aged 83 at 19 Ardlorcain. They are
both buried with Thomas’s parents at Deansgrange,
6 Lawrence Keogh born 1 Jun 1893 at Stillorgan married Mary Winstanley 20 Feb 1916 at Holy
Cross Church, Dundrum. Lawrence was a dairyman from the Kilmacud Road and Mary was a
laundress living at 30 Millmount Cottages in Windy Arbour, the daughter of Henry Winstanley
an army man. Lawrence and Mary lived at 59 Beaufield Park, Stillorgan and are buried at
Deansgrange.
1 Henry Keogh born 7 Jan 1917 at Stillorgan married Frances and they lived at 59
Beaufield Park.
