Cassidy family of Kilmacud
John Cassidy born in Co Cavan had a least three children who moved to Stillorgan.
1 Thomas Cassidy born circa 1852 in Co Cavan was a general labourer. He moved in with his sister
Catherine at Kilmacud circa 1904 and stayed on with his brother in law Thomas Keogh after his
sister died. He died a bachelor late of Kilmacud Road at Loughlinstown hospital on 27 Jan 1923
at Kilmacud Road.
2 Patrick Cassidy born circa 1858 in Co Cavan married Catherine Hickey daughter of Laurence Hickey,
a labourer at Kilmacud Church on 17 Jan 1886. Catherine was a servant working at Glenalbyn in 1886
and as a servant in Firhouse when she died 19 Jul 1899 at the workhouse. Patrick was still living at
Firhouse in 1901. He died 21 Oct 1904 at Kilmacud Road and was buried at Deansgrange with his
daughter Catherine.
1 John (Jack) Cassidy born 3 Jun 1886 Stillorgan married Elizabeth Kinsella nee Brady, daughter of
James Brady on 3 Jun 1918. Elizabeth died 5 Jan 1857 aged 69 at 7 Kilmacud Road. John died
18 May 1970 at 19 Ard Lorcain Chalets, both were buried at Deansgrange.
1 Shemus Cassidy born 4 Oct 1918 at Stillorgan.
2 Maria Cassidy born 9 Dec 1920 and died aged 20 at 7 Kilmacud Road on 11 Jul 1940 and
was buried in Deansgrange with her grandparents. Informant John Cassidy.

3 Laurence Cassidy born 9 Apr 1891 at Stillorgan.
4 Catherine Cassidy born 2 Mar 1893 at Kilmacud living with her aunt Julia Keogh in 1901.
Catherine died 14 Apr 1903 at Kilmacud Road and was buried at Deansgrange.
5 Patrick Cassidy born circa 1891 living at Firhouse in 1901.
6 Mary Cassidy born circa 1896 living at Firhouse in 1901 and with her cousin Julia McCann
in Kilmacud in 1911.
3 Catherine Cassidy born circa 1862 in Co Cavan married Thomas Keogh of Kilmacud on 26 Feb 1884
at Booterstown Church.
