James Watts born circa 1808 in Sligo married Ellen Robinson on 21 Aug 1840. James was a shoemaker
and they lived in Stillorgan Grove. James Watts died 8 Apr 1889 aged 80 and his wife Ellen died
27 Sep 1871 aged 63 and they are both buried at Stillorgan graveyard.

a servant and son of Edward Gethings, an office clerk at Stillorgan Parish Church on 22 July 1862.
3 Mary Jane born Watts circa 1845 baptised SS Philip & James married John Igoe at West Ham,
Essex in 1872.
4 Eleanor Dorcas Watts born circa 1847 baptised SS Philip & James married John Williams, from
Co Wicklow, a gardener of Rockville, Newtown Park and son of James Williams, a gardener at St
Stephens Church, Dublin on 28 Apr 1875. Ellen died on 13 Mar 1900 at 3 Grove Avenue, her son
Mervyn was the informant. John was still working as a gardener when he died 25 Apr 1922
aged 76 at 50 George's Avenue, Blackrock.
1 Mervyn James Williams born 21 Jun 1882 at Glenvar, Stillorgan and attended school in
Booterstown. He enlisted in 1910 and served in South Africa, Egypt and with the British
Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders. Mervyn Service No 6854 was killed in action
on 16 May 1915 at Festubert and is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial, on SS
Philip & James war memorial at Booterstown, and on his parent's headstone at Deansgrange.
He died unmarried.
2 Eleanor Kate Williams born 15 Nov 1883 at Glenvar, Stillorgan was living at with her father
in 1901 at Grove Avenue and at Avoca Place in 1911. She was living at 43 Georges avenue
when she married John Thomas of 62 Donore Avenue, South Circular Road and son of
William Thomas, a painter at SS Philips and James, Booterstown on 22 Feb 1917. Eleanor
died 26 Mar 1951 and was buried with her daughter Florence at Deansgrange. John died
on 8 Jun 1963 aged 90 at 50 Georges Avenue and was buried with his wife at Deansgrange.
1 Florence Eleanor Thomas born at 50 Georges Avenue, Blackrock on 12 Jun 1919 died
same place 6 Oct 1919 and was buried with her grandmother at Deansgrange.
5 Isabella born circa 1849 baptised SS Philip & James married Joseph Mills Williams, a gardener from
Booterstown and son of James Williams, a gardener on 27 Dec 1875. Isabella died at Mount
Merrion Avenue and was buried at Stillorgan graveyard on 10 Nov 1876.
1 Isabella Ellen Williams died at Merrion Avenue and was buried at Stillorgan graveyard on
11 Nov 1876 when she was 7 days old.
