John Pringle a farmer of Clones, three of his sons married three sisters.
1 Henry Pringle born circa 1839 in Co Monaghan married Matilda Olivia King, eldest
daughter of Robert King of Anesley Lodge, Co Tyrone at Glenoe Church on
9 Jun 1863. Henry was a butter merchant and and died at Clonboy 18 Mar 1921
aged 83 leaving 77K in personal estate and Matilda died 23 Sep 1921.

2 Henry Pringle born at Clonedrigle 23 Aug 1869.
3 Robert William Pringle born at Clonedrigle 18 Jan 1871 graduated Trinity in
1894. He married Alberta Henshaw on 18 Sep 1901 at St Philip's Church
Milltown. Robert died 25 Oct 1919 at Milltown. Alberta died 1 Sep 1950 at
Milltown.
4 Norah Sophia Pringle born at Clonedrigle 21 Oct 1872 married the Rev Robert
Kennedy Hanna at Clones on 16 Aug 1898.
5 James Alexander Pringle born 28 Aug 1875 at Clondrigole was called to the
bar in 1912, he was attached to the Italian Red Cross in 1915 and took silk in
1921. In 1898 he married his cousin Mary Pringle, daughter of Henry Pringle
of Clones and was an Unionist MP for Fermanagh/Tyrone from 1925 to 1929.
The couple had three sons and one daughter. James died 7 Jul 1935.
1 John Seton Michael Pringle youngest son born 12 Jul 1909 at
Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh. He was a surgeon and married
Bunty Odlum at St Paul's Church Portarlington on 7 Sep 1938.
Bunty died at the Royal City Hospital on 27 Jan 1950.
6 Harold Pringle born 26 Feb 1876 was a medical doctor and married
Enid Pringle, daughter of Robert Pringle at Railway Street Church, Lisburn
on 21 Sep 1905. MD of Trinity College he was a lecturer in histology at
Edinburgh University. The couple had ten children and lived at Ardeen
Palmerston Park and Sandford Grove, Donnybrook. Enid died
17 May 1932 aged 51 at Ballinahone, Co Monaghan and Professor Harold
Pringle died 7 Dec 1935 and was interred at Clones. Harold left personal
estate of 26K.
1 Michael Pringle, eldest son, born circa 1909 was a Trinity
graduate of modern languages, He was a winner of the Brooke
prize and was called to the bar in 1933. He died 6 Dec 1933
aged 24 at Sandford Grove, Donnybrook.
2 Harold (Hal) Pringle, born circa 1911 was a medical doctor,
educated in Scotland, Cambridge and Trinity. He specialised in
Radiography and was considered an expert in early diagnosis of
TB. He was living at Hazelwood House, Upper Kilmacud Road
when he married Rosemary Clibborn Goodbody, daughter of Edward
Gaynor Goodbody on 20 Sep 1941, at the Presbyterian Church on
Adelaide Road.
Rosemary's father originally from Clara, Co Offaly was a merchant
of Liverpool and moved to Ireland circa 1906 with his wife Mary C
and lived at Longmead, Foxrock. Harold purchased Robert Robert's
cafe and later purchased Fry's cafes. He worked at the Royal City
of Dublin Hospital (Baggot Street), Mercers, The Meath and St
Ultans. He and Rosemary had three children. Rosemary died
6 May 1952 at Claremont, Carrickmines and Hal died at Longmead
on 20 Nov 1952 aged 43, both were buried at Temple Hill Quaker
cemetery in Blackrock.
3 Noragh Pringle born 4 May 1918, Queens Elms, Belfast married
Henry Arthur Barlee of Annefield, son of the late Wilfred Lee
Barlee, solicitor and his wife Annette Hemphill of Annefield,
Dundrum on 22 Dec 1942 at Adelaide Road Presbyterian Church.
7 Alexander (Alex) Pringle born 8 Apr 1878. He was a solicitor and
married Margaret Elizabeth Blake at Belfast on 3 Aug 1908 and was left
Clonboy House when his father died.

2 Seton Sydney Pringle eldest son born 6 Jul 1879 at The Diamond, Clones,
Co Monaghan. He was educated at Coleraine Academical Institution and at
Campbell College, Belfast. He graduated from the School of Physic at Trinity
College. He was appointed to Mercer's Hospital in 1903. He was a MD of 27
Lower Baggot Street and married Ethel Louisa McMunn on 5 Mar 1904 at
Easky, Co Sligo. Ethel was the eldest daughter of the late Dr Andrew McMunn
of Ballymote. He served with the RAMC during WW1 firstly in France then
returning to Dublin to work at the Red Cross hospital in Dublin Castle. After
the war he worked at the Royal City of Dublin Hospital in Baggot Street. He
was later consultant to Drumcondra Hospital, the Rotunda Hospital and the
Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital. He was president of the Royal College of
Surgeons in Ireland from 1934 to 1936. Ethel died 2 Aug 1938 at Portobello
Nursing Home.

Street. Donald was headmaster as Castle Park School in Dalkey and

Blackrock. Daphne was the daughter of Francis Rawden Moira Crozier.
Rev Arthur Butler officiated with Rev Dobbs.
3 Betty Seton Pringle (twin) born 12 Jul 1910 at 27 Lower Baggot Street. She
was a well known tennis and badminton player. She married Arthur Butler
on 14 Jul 1938. Arthur was the son of George Booker Butler.
4 Peggy Mary Seton Pringle (twin) born 12 Jul 1910 at 27 Lower Baggot
Street. She married John Fitzgerald Snow on 18 Apr 1936 at St Peter's,
Adelaide Road. John was in the army and the son of General Sir Thomas
D'Oyly Snow.
Seton secondly married Eileen Florence Blandford on 1 Sep 1939 at Christ Church,
Leeson Park. He retired from Baggot Street Hospital in 1944 and also retired as
District Surgeon to the St John Ambulance the same year but remained a member,
as did his wife Eileen who had been with the service from 1913. They moved to
Ringlestown House near Kilmessan, Co Meath where Seton died on 10 Nov 1955.
He was interred in Clones. Eileen was appointed President of the Council of the St
John's Ambulance Brigade after his death.
4 Alexander Pringle born 8 Apr 1878 at Clones. Co Monaghan was a solicitor.
3 John Pringle born 8 Nov 1881 at The Diamond, Clones, Co Monaghan won two
Irish international rugby caps, against Scotland and Wales, in 1902.
