Andrew Lee born circa 1851 in County Wicklow son of Andrew Lee, a farm labourer. His father was
deceased by 1882 and he was living at Little Bray when he married Mary Byrne on 12 Feb 1882 at the
Church of the Three Patrons, Rathmines. Mary was a widow living at Ellerslie, Temple Road and the
daughter of John Murray. In 1901 Andrew and his family were living at Glasnevin. Andrew died on
22 Jan 1907 at at 17 George's Place and Mary died 1 Feb 1907 at 17 George's Place, Blackrock. Their
son John of the same address was the informant of both deaths.
1 Andrew Lee born 30 Dec 1882 at Tillystown, Shankhill was working as a gardener at
Ervillagh, Foxrock married Margaret Traynor, daughter of Patrick Traynor, and a servant
living at Ervillagh, Foxrock at Cabinteely Church on 18 Feb 1906. They were living at
Ushers Quay in 1911 and had six children of whom five were still alive. They moved to
St Joseph’s cottage on Brewery Road circa 1920. Margaret died 1 Kill O’ the Grange,
Deansgrange on 24 Jun 1945 and Andrew died 21 Jan 1954, late of 24 McCabes Villas at St
Columcilles Hospital. Both very buried at Deansgrange with their daughter Alice.
1 Anastatia (Statia) Lee born 4 Aug 1906 at Holles Street while her father was working
at Santry Hall.
2 Andrew Patrick Lee born at the Coombe Hospital 19 Sep 1907 while the family
were living at 22 Pimlico. Andrew married Eileen O’Donnell, of Galloping Green
and daughter of Thomas O’Donnell, a gardener at John The Baptist Church,
Blackrock on 26 June 1934.
3 Patrick Lee born at Demesne House, Dundalk on 19 Oct 1908 married Mary Giles,
daughter of Thomas Giles, a gardener of Galloping Green at Blackrock RC Church
on 18 Feb 1935.
4 Ellen Lee born at Barleyfield, Dundalk on 20 Dec 1909.
5 Mary Lee born at 142 Thomas Street on 31 Dec 1910.
6 Margaret (Gretta) Lee born at Hollywood, Carrickmines 22 Jun 1913.
7 Alice Christina Lee born at Hollywood, Carrickmines 19 Dec 1914. She was a
machinist and living at St Josephs, Brewery Road when she died 13 Aug 1936. She
was buried at Deansgrange.
8 William (Bill) Lee born at Hollywood Cottage, Carrickmines on 21 Jul 1916 married
Ellen (Nellie) Collins.
9 Kathleen Lee born at Carrickmines on 3 May 1918 went to school at Carysfort and
worked at a factory. She was living at Deansgrange when she married married
Thomas Roe of Golden Ball at Foxrock Church on 26 Apr 1943. Thomas was a
labourer and the son of James Roe, a labourer.

5 James Lee born 20 Mar 1895 at Cherrywood, Loughlinstown. He was working as a mechanic when
he enlisted on 23 Sep 1914. He married Ellen Vance 29 Oct 1916 at Bray RC Church. Ellen was a
domestic living at Bruce's Tce, Bray and the daughter of William Vance, a labourer. James was based
at the Curragh Camp. When their first child was born, James, a private in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers
was resident at the convalescent home in Blackrock. By 1920 he was working as a signal fitter.
