Christopher Jolley son of dairyman John Jolley of Stillorgan was born circa 1858, he married
Elizabeth Anne Gregory daughter of William Gregory a butcher from Rathfarnham at
Rathfarnham Church of Ireland on 7 Oct 1884 and had a least ten children. They purchased
the interest in a 90 acre farm at Scholarstown in 1900. The farm was between Woodbine
and Mr McGrane's farm. They lived over their shop on the main Street in Rathfarnham and
they also owned another house in the village called 'Shandon'. Elizabeth died 10 Nov 1923
and Christopher died 29 Jul 1938 and was buried at Whitechurch.

emigrated to America.
2 George Albert Jolley born circa 16 July 1887 at Main Street, Rathfarnham
emigrated to America.
3 Sarah Margaret Jolley, eldest daughter born 25 Jun 1889 at Rathfarnham, looked
after her parents until their deaths and was the main beneficiary of her father's
Will. She died a spinster on 16 Apr 1967 at St Kevin's Hospital, late of Main Street,
Rathfarnham.
4 Thomas Jolley born circa 1892 living at Iveagh Gardens, Crumlin in 1929.
5 Anne Jolley born 20 Mar 1894 at Rathfarnham died 27 Mar 1894.
6 Christopher (Sonny) Jolley born 22 Jul 1895 at Main Street Rathfarnham married
Florence King 15 Sep 1920 at the Pro Cathedral, Dublin. He worked on his father's
farm and was left £20 in his father's Will. They moved to Willbrook, Rathfarnham.
Christopher died at Old Court Tallaght 10 May 1957 and was buried at Deansgrange.
Florence died 8 Oct 1966 and was buried with her husband.

Rathfarnham.
3 Noel Joseph Jolley born and died 1930, Butterfield dairy, Rathfarnham.
7 Samuel Jolley, fifth son born 22 Mar 1898 was a dairy manager and died 30 Jul 1939 at
Mercer's Hospital and was buried at Whitechurch. American newspapers asked to copy
death notice.
8 James Alexander Jolley born 27 Dec 1900 Main Street Rathfarnham married Elizabeth
Florence Lily (Lily) Hawkins, daughter of Anthony Hawkin at Taney Church on
25 June 1934. James was a dairy farmer. Lilly died at Brooklawn, Rathfarnham on
26 Jun 1942 aged 29 and James died 17 Feb 1964 at 20 Main Street, Rathfarnham.
9 Elizabeth Ann Jolley born 12 Jun 1903 at Rathfarnham married David Harpur Rogers,
son of Richard Rodgers of Acrebrook dairy Rathfarnham on 8 Jun 1922 at the Mariners
Church, Kingstown.
10 Harriette Olive Jolley born 22 Feb 1908 at Main Street Rathfarnham married Thomas
Caffrey of The Cottage, Clonsilla and son of Patrick Caffrey, a livery stable owner at
Christ Church Leeson Park on 14 Jul 1931.
