The Donegal Democrat newsper report today on the Ballyhanna book launch. The Guest speaker was Professor Marie Cassidy, Ireland's State Pathologist and Professor of Forensic Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons. This is the story about the archaelogical excavations at Ballyshannon. During the construction of the town bypass in 2003, numerous artefacts and 1300 skeletons were excavated. This was the first time a Gaelic medieval cemetery was excavated in Ireland.
