I notice today that ancestry has created a link to www.from-ireland.net site. For anyone not familiar with this site, let me tell you a little about it. The site is run by Dr Jane Lyons. She has compiled a huge amount of data in one location. The home page reads:-
"Welcome to From-Ireland.net! Here you will find millions of free records, compiled by Dr. Jane Lyons, including: gravestone records, gravestone photographs, 1901 census records, 1911 census records, 1931 trade directory records, birth records, marriage records, death records, Lewis’ topographical records, Griffith’s valuation records, and much more … "
Now what you may not know, is the Jane works alone mainly, and when she is not helping on stands at shows around the country she is traversing the countyside photographing graveyards and their headtones. All for FREE, what a lady.
Her facebook page is Irish Genealogy https://www.facebook.com/irishgenealogy/?fref=ts
