Hugh Crofton on 11.04.1822 at St Peter’s Church, Dublin. Edward was a JP and a member of
the RDS. Barbara died on 06.08.1863 and
Edward died on 14.02.1881 both of Crossdrum, Oldcastle, Meath.

Hopkins of Mitchelstown on 30 Aug 1849 at Killeagh Parish Church
1 Mary C Hopkins born circa 1845 in Co Meath leaving with her aunt Barbara in 1901.

2 Edward Rotheram born circa 1828 married Maria Louisa Cooper daughter of Samuel
Cooper of Killenure Castle on 12.09.1864 at the Parish Church, Monkstown. They
lived at Sallymount House until 1881 when his father inherited the family home
Crossdrum House, Oldcastle, Meath. Edward died 04.06.1904 aged 76 years at
Crossdrum and Maria died 26.08.1919 aged 82 at Castlecor, Oldcastle.

Terrace married Hugh Ponsonby Wilson son of George Orr Wilson of
Dunardagh, Blackrock on 04.04.1894 at Killeagh Parish Church, Meath.
Hugh died on 09.09.1912 at Tooting, London.

Dublin. They lived at Crossdrum in 1911. Edward died on 06.03.1925 aged
53 years at Elpis Hospital on Mount Street late of Crossdrum.

5 Auston Morgan Rotheram 3rd son born 11.06.1876 at Sallymount House was
an Irish polo player who competed at the 1908 Summer Olympics. Auston
was living at Castlecor in 1911 and married Violet Montague Ede daughter of
Charles Ede circa April 1913 at St John’s Cathedral, Hong Kong. Auston died
on 13.11.1946 in Cheltenham.
6 Sisson Henry Rotheram born 12.01.1880 at 6 Upper Pembroke Street
married Mary Josephine Jackson circa April 1906. Sisson of Hotel Alexandra,
Monte Carlo, Monaco died 25.02.1956.
3 Morgan Thomas Rotheram born circa 1831 married Isabelle Lucinda Hopkins
daughter of Francis Hopkins of Mitchelstown on 16.03.1857 at the Parish Church,
Athboy Meath. Morgan died 14.02.1893 aged 62 years at Belview, Crossakeel,
Meath.

daughter of Henry Forde examiner to the Lord Chief Baron on 14.07.1881 at
Santry Parish Church, Dublin. Henry died 06.12.1890 aged 55 years at his
residence Castlecor and Sarah died 08.04.1927 aged 96 years at 3 Richmond Hill,
Monkstown.
5 Barbara Rotheram born 24 Sep 1832 at Crossdrum in County Meath living at Lucan Petty
Common in 1901 and at Ballyboden in 1911. She died at Roebuck Hill on 23 Mar 1915 at
Roebuck Hill and left 9K in personal estate.
6 Jane Rotheram born September 1837 at Crossdrum married Rev Ronald MacDonnell on
26 Aug 1857 at Monkstown Parish Church. Ronald was the Rector of Monkstown and the
son of Richard MacDonnell, 29th Provost of Trinity College and his wife Jane Graves.
2 George Smith Rotheram born circa 1793 of Sallymount House married Jane Coates only
surviving daughter of Matthew Coates of Knockinally, Kildare on 15.08.1826 at St George’s Church
Dublin. Mrs George Rotherham presented an Indian Cashmere Shawl in 1871 to be sold in aid of
organ funds for All Saints Church in Blackrock. Jane died on 17.05.1877 and George died 26.12.1878
aged 85 years both at Fairy Hill, Blackrock.
