Perrin Family of Rocklands
Henry Eugene Perrin born circa 1786 married Anne Edwards on 16.04.1810 at St Michael’s in Chester.
Anne died on 22.10.1836 aged 51 years. Henry was partner in the firm Woodroofe Perrin & Co. That
company was disolved in 1831 and Henry then traded as H E Perry & Co, trading in corn, flour, malt, tea
and wine at 64 Abbey Street. Henry then married Isabella Brown in 1839 in Austria. She was the daughter
of Rev James Brown, Minister of Newbattle, Scotland. Henry died in Paris on 26.04.1851 on his way back
to Dublin aged 64 years. Isabella died on 29.05.1875 in Edinburgh.
1 Richard Henry Perrin eldest son born circa July 1811 married Jane Fisher Scott born
17.09.1814 daughter of the late Peter Haffrey Scott and Margaret Fisher of Liverpool on
25.12.1835 at St Brides Church in Liverpool. Richard died on 17.02.1889 at 16 Morehampton
Road and Jane died 07.05.1904 aged 89 years.
1 Richard Henry Perrin born 06.11.1836 died 05.11.1837 aged 1 year.
2 Henry Scott Perrin born 09.08.1838 married Mary Elizabeth Beansire on 30.04.1868 at
St Peters. Henry died 20.12.1881 and Mary died on 28.03.1912.
1 Eva Perrin born 02.03.1869 died 04.02.1882.
2 Alice Perrin born 02.11.1870.
3 Ernest Henry Perrin born 21.05.1873.
4 Rosa Blanche Perrin 08.07.1875.
5 Charles Perrin born 29.01.1878.
3 Annie Perrin born 11.06.1840 died 26.08.1844 aged 4 years.
4 Charles Frederick Perrin 2nd son born 02.05.1842 married Sarah (his cousin) youngest
daughter of Joseph Deacon at Liverpool on 10.01.1866. Charles died 07.05.1875 in Tasmania
aged 33 years.
5 William Edwards Perrin 3rd son born 29.07.1845 married Emily MacDonald, the only daughter
of the late Archibald McDonald and Anne Jane Wilson on 07.06.1867 at St Kevins Church,
Dublin. They lived at Rocklands, Stillorgan. William was an insurance agent and then an
insurance secretary. Emily died 31.01.1883 after a short illness and was buried at Mount Jerome.
There is a memorial in St Brigid's Church in her memory.
1 Annie Jane Mayne Perrin born 22.04.1869 married Phillip Samuel Park, a widower on
23 Nov 1912, she was a spinster aged 43 and he had previously been married to Annie
Isabella Eugenie, the daughter of the Rev Frederick Eugene Perrin, son of Henry Perrin,
merchant of Dublin. Phillip was an Ex-Mayor of Preston but in 1922 he sent Annie to
Dublin to see her father William Perrin in Rocklands and while she was away, he took his
own life. Annie died 16 Feb 1965 at Sloane Avenue, London.
2 Emily Louise Perrin (Lulu) born 16.10.1871 baptised at St Brigids, Stillorgan. Louise
Emily married Charles Andrew McCaw son of Daniel McCaw on 08.09.1906 at St James
Church, Dublin.
3 May Scott Perrin born 16.05.1874 baptised at St Brigids, Stillorgan, died 14.01.1875.
4 Ella May Perrin youngest daughter born 26.01.1883 was baptised at St Brigids.
She married Captain Henry Lionel Norton Traill late H M Resident, Nassarawa Province,
Nigeria on 10.03.1925 at Tullow Church. Henry had previously been married to
Irene Duckworth only daughter of Richard Henry D’Olier Duckworth who had died
in 1920.
William then married Helen Stott (nee Watt) on 14.02.1893 in London. William died on
08.03.1932 aged 86 years and Helen died 14.06.1932 aged 88 years both at 27 Palmerston
Gardens, Dublin. She left a personal estate of 9K, of which 300 went to her step-daughter
Annie (Mrs Philip Park).
5 Helen Annie Watt Stott his niece and adopted daughter married Percy Winder in
1908.
6 Alfred Marsden Perrin born 24.03.1847 married Katherine Mary Bailey in 1876 in Bangor,
Wales. Alfred died circa 1935 aged 88 years.

8 Sidney John Perrin youngest son born 27.08.1850 married Emily Mabel 3rd daughter of
the late C. Holmes Fetherstonhaugh on 09.02.1872 at St Anne’s Parish, Belfast. Sidney died
13.12.1890 aged 39 years.
