Andrew O’Farrell married Ellen Reilly in 1857. Witnesses: Patrick Byrne and Mary Anne Reilly.
Andrew O’Farrell was the Master in Edmundstown National School and Ellen the Mistress in 1870.
In 1878 the couple moved to Ballycorus school but when the lead works failed the district became
less populous, and as a result the attendance in school dwindled so much that it was impossible to
retain their services and by 1894 they were working at Cabinteely National School and the family
moved to live at Cornelscourt. They worked at Cabinteely until their retirement in 1899. By 1901
the family lived at 19 Stillorgan North. Ellen died at Grove View on 16.09.1908 and was buried at
Deansgrange. Andrew was a Rathdown County Councillor and in 1911 was living at 6 Stillorgan
Road. He died at St John of God Hospital on 15.03.1919 and was buried at Deansgrange with his
wife.
1 Michael O’Farrell born circa 1859 married Mary Rogan of Ravensdale daughter of Patrick
Rogan on 16.06.1898 at the Roman Catholic Church at Ravensdale. Witnesses: Patrick
McAteer and Lizzie McAteer. They lived at Stillorgan South. Michael was the Sub-Sanitary
and school Attendance Officer based at The Dispensary. He died on 30.12.1929 aged 68
years at The Dispensary, Stillorgan and Mary died on 17.10.1944 aged 73 years at St
Columcille’s Hospital late of Castle Street, Dalkey and they are buried at Deansgrange.

08.11.1955 at Harold's Cross Hospice late of 129 Lr Churchtown Road and is buried
at Deansgrange.
2 William Michael O’Farrell born 22.09.1902 at Newtown Park and died 22.03.1903
aged 6 months at Brighton Cottages, Foxrock and is buried at Deansgrange.
3 John Joseph O’Farrell born 20.02.1906 at Foxrock.
2 Esther Farrell born 19.01.1864 at Straffan, Celbridge.
3 Joseph O’Farrell born circa 1865. Joseph of Cabinteely married Ann Lowbridge of Cabinteely
daughter of William Lowbridge on 27.11.1889 at Roman Catholic Chapel of Little Bray.
Witnesses: Bernard Greaves and Kate Cassidy. Joseph died on 01.01.1918 aged 52 years at
Cornelscourt. Informant Pauline O’Farrell daughter.

Chapel. Witnesses: Bernard Rogan and Josephine O’Farrell. Teresa a Widow died on
12.09.1941 at 9 Dargan Street, Bray and was buried with her parents.

2 Eileen Mary Rogan born 28.07.1905 at Ballycorus.
5 Ambrose O’Farrell born 12.12.1867 at Edmondstown an infant died in 1868.

7 Margaret Josephine (Josephine) O’Farrell born 16.06.1870 at Edmondstown. Josephine of
Ballycorus married Bernard Rogan, a grocer of 13 Irwin Street, Dublin son of James Rogan
on 12.04.1899 at St Patrick’s Chapel, Glencullen. Witnesses: William Rogan and Elizabeth
Byrne. They had at least eight children and lived at Windy Arbor where they had a licensed
premises. Josephine died on 23.08.1934 aged 60 years at 65 Sandford Road.

8 Clara Farrell born 10.02.1872 at Tallaght.
9 Mary O’Farrell born circa 1873 Kildare living with her father in Stillorgan in 1911. She died
28.01.1937 and was buried at Deansgrange with her parents.
