Edward Joseph Mason born circa 1872 in Co Wicklow son of Edward Mason, a labourer. He
was living and working at Maria Mount, Inchicore and married Mary Farrelly on 18 Jun 1903
at the Congregation Church in Kilmainham. Mary was the daughter of Robert? Farrelly, a
labourer and was resident at 8 Belton Terrace, SCR. They were living in a house owned by
Durham Mathews (son of John Talbot Power of Edermine, Co Wexford) at Seafield,
Booterstown in 1911. They identified as Church of Ireland and four of their five children had
survived. The family lived at Templenacrow, Adamstown, Co Wicklow from circa 1913 and
had returned to Dublin by 1920. Edward was a handyman at St Helen’s from 1920 to 1925.
Mary died aged 36 at St Helens on 30 Aug 1920.

Church. Margaret was from Deans Grange and the daughter of Thomas Noctor.

4 Child Mason died before 1911.
5 Mary Ellen Mason born circa 1910.
6 Albert James Mason born 4 Mar 1913 at Templenacrow, Adamstown. Co Wexford. He
was a gardener and married Mary Robinson on 25 Sep 1938 at Ballybrack Church. Mary
was a domestic living at Shankill.
7 Susana Mason born 24 May 1914 at Templenacrow, Adamstown, Co Wexford.
8 Elizabeth Mason (Registered as Farron) born 7 Oct 1915 at Templenacrow, Adamstown,
Co Wexford.
Edward secondly married Mary Ryan on 17 Apr 1922 at St Mary’s, Haddington Road. Mary was
living at Glenomena, Stillorgan Road and was the daughter of Patrick Ryan, a gardener. Edward
was working as a handyman at St Helen’s, Stillorgan at the time of his marriage and worked at
Gortmore for the Lefroy family as a gardener at Gortmore from 1929 to 1932. Mary died
4 Dec 1948 aged 62 at 63 Ballinteer Cottages. Her funeral mass was held at Holy Cross Church,
Dundrum and she was buried at Deansgrange (she was survived by one son, daughters, and
her parents). Edward died 7 Feb 1961 at 63 Ballinteer Cottages, his daughter Margaret, the
informant. He was buried with his wife.

Edward Joseph Mason born circa 1872 in Co Wicklow son of Edward Mason, a labourer. He
