John Jameson was involved with Bow Street Distillery of Dublin, in the early 1800s. He married
Isabella Stein, daughter of the original owner of the distillery. By 1825 he was the sole owner.

4 William Jameson born 2 Feb 1811 took Holy orders. He married Elizabeth Guinness
daughter of Arthur Hart Guinness at St George’s Church Dublin on 12 Apr 1844 William
died 20 Nov 1886 at Tunbridge Wells. They lived at Hollybank Drumcondra before moving
to France where William was rector of the Anglican Church at Biarritz. They returned to
Dublin in 1873 when William was appointed Rector of St Philips Church in Milltown and
lived at Roebook Grove, now known as Roebuck House.

3 Robert William Jameson born 8 Mar 1854 at Hollybank, Drumcondra, married
Catherine Anne Luscombe, daughter of Tooke Cumming Luscombe of Milltown Castle
on 24 Sep 1879 at St Philips Church in Milltown. Robert was a JP for the county of
Limerick and land agent to Charles Spring Rice, 5th Baron Monteagle of Brandon.
They lived at Campfield, Drummartin from 1901 to 1922. Robert died 27 Apr 1943
at Cheltenham leaving personal estate of 38K.
1 Cecil William Jameson born 15 Dec 1880 at Corgrig Lodge, Foynes took
Holy orders. He was an chaplain to the forces from 1914 to 1915. He
married Anne Marjory Thornhill, daughter of Francis Thornhill on
20 Jan 1916 at Westminster. He was appointed curate at Holy Trinity Church
in Tunbridge Wells and Chaplain to the Fernley Ironworks Company before
he was appointed incumbent of Cullompton, Devon in 1921. Cecil died in
December 1977 at Bath.
2 Ernest Tooke Jameson born 14 Jun 1882 at Leeson Park, Dublin was
educated at Monkton Combe School. He studied medicine and graduated
surgeon from Trinity in 1907. He moved to India and in 1915 joined the
RAMC. He served in Mesopotamia on a hospital barge on the Euphrates.
On 16 Aug 1933 he married Rosalind Mary Frances Otway Mayne at St
Mary's Parish Church at Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. The family
emigrated to Kenya in 1948 and Ernest died 31 Oct 1950 at Eldoret, Rift
Valley, Kenya.
3 Arthur George Jameson born 30 Sep 1883 at Corgrig Lodge, Foynes,
joined the Royal Navy in 1898 and attained the rank of Lieutenant-
Commander. He married Isabel Laura Katherine Pitman of Exmouth
on 5 Aug 1908 at Devon. He was washed overboard from the submarine
D2 on 23 Nov 1914. The submarine itself was lost two days later.

4 Robert John Amyatt Jameson, fourth son born 24 Apr 1885 at Corgrig
Lodge, Foynes. He was an engineer with the board of works and joined
the Royal Engineers in 1915, based at Bere Island he attaining the rank of
Captain. He married Eleanor Frances Mitchel on 27 Jul 1922 at
Hampreston in Dorset. In 1928 he was Chief Inspector of the Land Loans
Department, Board of Works. They lived at Barr-na-Cuillia, Kilmacanoge,
Co Wicklow. Robert was buried at St Patricks graveyard in Enniskerry.
5 William Luxmoore Jameson born 23 Nov 1886 at Corgrig Lodge, Foynes
took Holy orders. He was curate at Taney from 1910 to 1913 before
moving to Australia to work as a missionary. He was a chaplain to the
forces from 1915 and appointed Secretary to the Colonial and Continental
Church Society and Rector of Balbriggan in 1917. He married Georgina
Marjorie Gibbon, daughter of the Rev William Monks Gibbon, Rector of
Taney Church, on 30 Jan 1917. He moved to Greystones as Rector in 1922
and to England in 1928 He died 2 Sep 1970 at Bath.
6 Harold Gordon Jameson, born 11 Oct 1888, Corgrig Lodge, Foynes was
educated at Monkton Coombe School in Bath. He graduated BA from Trinity
in 1907 with a BA in Engineering. He was appointed to the Sudan irrigation
Service and volunteered with the Royal engineers on a trip home in 1914.
He was killed in action on 16 Aug 1915 at the Battle of Dardanelles at Suvla
Bay, Gallipoli aged 26. He left £841 in personal estate and his executor was
his cousin Frieda K Thompson of Clonskeagh Castle.
7 James Edward Jameson born 29 Jun 1891 at Glin, County Limerick married
Elaine May Fraser, daughter of James Fraser of Orchardton, Dundrum on
17 Feb 1920 at Christ Church, Taney. A medical practicioner, he was
Chairman of the North Costwold Rural Council and lived at Moreton on
Marsh. He died in September 1969 at Oxford.
8 Francis Octavius Jameson born 3 Apr 1893 at Corgrig Lodge, Foynes moved to
Australia.
9 Thomas Henry Jameson born 10 Dec 1894 at Foynes, Co Limerick trained at the
Royal Naval College, Greenwich. As Captain, Royal Marines, he served at
Antwerp on the on the Western Front and at Gallipoli. He also served in the
Second World War, was awarded the CBE, and attained the rank of Major
General. He married Barbara Adele Bayley at Portsmouth on 30 Apr 1918.
