Nathaniel Hone married Rebecca Brindley daughter of Samuel Brindley of Cutpurse Row on
17.10.1711 at St Nicholas Without in Dublin. Nathaniel lived at Wood Quay and died circa 1743.
His son Brindley Hone, a Pin Maker in High Street married Sarah Strong daughter of the Rev
James Strong of Braithwaite Street in 1756. They lived at Usher Quay.

1 Maria Hone born circa 1758.
2 Sarah Hone born circa 1759 married Rev Robert Mahaffy son of Ninian Mahaffy of
Donoughmore, Donegal circa 15.08.1795 at Drumcondra Castle.
3 Nathaniel Hone born circa 01.08.1760 married Hannah Dickinson on 23.10.1784 at St
Audoen’s Church, Dublin. Nathaniel lived on Harcourt Street and had a country house and
farm called Hannahville in Dundrum. He was High Sheriff in 1798, joined the RDS in 1808,
Lord Mayor in 1810/11 a member of the Ouzel Galley and a churchwarden of Taney Parish
in 1795 to name just a few of his many commitments. Nathaniel died on 08.04.1819 at his
country house near Dundrum several days after suffering a stroke. He left 500K in
personal estate. Hannah Moore his elder daughter died on the same day. His wife
Hannah died in 1841.
1 Henry Hone born circa 1790 married Elizabeth Lum daughter of Charles Lum on
22.05.1816. He lived in Donegal, and at Hazelwood, Dublin from 1846 to 1850.
Henry died 05.02.1856 at his home Abilene in Blackrock aged 65 years and is buried
at Clonleigh Churchyard, Lifford in Donegal. Elizabeth then married Sir Hawtrey
Cox eldest son of the Rev Richard Cox on 15.06.1857 at Nenagh Church.
1 Nathaniel Hone born circa 1818 only son died 24.11.1852 aged 34 years and
is buried at Clonleigh Churchyard.
2 Hannah Hone eldest daughter baptised 11.10.1795 at Taney Church married
Frederick Moore on 10.01.1818 at St Peter’s Church, Dublin. Hannah died on the
same day as her father on 08.04.1819 aged 24 years.
3 Sarah Hone baptised 24.12.1796 at Taney Church.
4 Addison Hone born circa 12.12.1797.
5 Nathaniel Hone born circa 1799.
4 James Strong Hone born circa 1761 died 31.07.1782 in Ranelagh.

6 Wilhelmina Dorothea Hone born circa 1765 married Hickman Blayney Molesworth son
of Robert Molesworth on 30.01.1806. Wilhelmina died 05.12.1814 at Summer Hill aged
49 years and is buried at St Peter’s.
7 Joseph Tarry Hone born circa 18.04.1766 of the Middle Temple died on 18.11.1831 at
Westminster.
8 Addison Hone was born circa 30.04.1773. Addison was a merchant at Batchelor's
Walk and married Anne Hartley daughter of Travers Hartley on 14.11.1795. They lived
at Vevay, Ballybrack.
