daughter of Sir Josiah Coghill on 15.05.1856 at Drumcondra Parish Church and was living at
40 St Stephens Green in 1901 with brother William. Sylvia died 04.01.1907 aged 73 years and
Thomas died on 11.07.1909 aged 78 years both at 49 Stephens Green.

2 Maryanne Greene eldest daughter married William Wallace of Gardiner Place on 24.09.1817 at St
Peters. Marianne died 03.01.1861 at Upper Leeson Street.
3 Rachel Greene 2nd daughter born circa 1794 died unmarried on 29.10.1848 aged 54 years at
Stanley Terrace, Upper Leeson Street and is buried with her mother at Mount Jerome.
4 Catherine Greene 3rd daughter born circa 1798 died unmarried on 12.12.1860 aged 62 years at
Baggot Street and is buried with her mother at Mount Jerome.
5 Dr George A Greene 4th son born circa 1801 studied at the Meath Hospital and the School of the
College of Surgeons in 1817 as an apprentice of late Mr Hewson.In 1828 George lost his right hand
as a result of a gunshot wound which excluded him from performing surgery. George married Alice
Wilson youngest daughter of late Thomas Wilson of York on 22.12.1833 at All Saints, York. George
who was Queen’s Professor of the Practice of Medicine died 02.04.1846 at his house in Fitzwilliam
Square.

30.12.1824. Harriet died 03.02.1839 aged 31 years and is buried with her mother at Mount Jerome.
8 Rev Henry Greene 7th son born circa 1808 married Isabella Ellen Reynolds 3rd daughter of William
Reynolds on 23.04.1850 at the British Embassy, Florence. Henry late Chaplain to the British at Pisa and
the Baths of Lucca died 05.04.1876 aged 69 years at Florence.

daughter of Rev Henry Roundell on 23.04.1885 at St Jude’s Church, Kensington, Middlesex.
9 Arthur Greene born circa 1809 married Frances Shaw daughter of late Bernard Shaw on 01.01.1830 at
Rathfarnham. Frances died 13.12.1872 aged 66 years at 80 Lower Mount Street and Arthur died
26.07.1876 aged 67 years at 7 Adelaide Road.
1 Edward Jonas Greene born circa 1839 married Adelaide Reid on 04.10.1859 at St Peter’s
Church. Adelaide died on 11.06.1883 aged 44 years. Edward married secondly Mary Elizabeth
Fraser Tytler on 24.01.1889 in Edinburgh and they lived at Newstead in Roebuck/Clonskeagh.
Edward died on 17.11.1919 aged 81 years at 17 Ailesbury Road and is buried at Deansgrange.
2 Bessie Greene of 11 Gardiner Place married Charles Martelli of 1 Clonliffe Jones Road son of
William Godfrey Martelli on 05.10.1860 at St George’s Church.
3 Cecelia Charlotte Greene of 11 Gardiner Place married Samuel Walker a Barrister of 12 North
Frederick Street son of Alexander Walker on 08.10.1855 at St George’s Church. Cecilia died on
18.06.1880 aged 45 years at 2 Rutland Square. Samuel married secondly Eleanor McLaughlin
on 17.08.1881.

John Gason MD of Enniskerry on 12.05.1849 at the British Embassy, Florence. Elizabeth died circa May
1882 aged 80 years in Rome and John died on 12.04.1896 aged 79 years at 65 Via Balmino, Rome.
