1 William John Davidson born 16.04.1879 at Malahide. William a Gardener unmarried was living at 6.4
Hollyfield Buildings in Rathmines in 1911 with his brother Eugene. William died on 06.06.1930 aged
50 years at the Adelaide Hospital late of the Grange, Stillorgan. Rev Lewis Crosby made the funeral
arrangements.
2 James Samuel Davidson born 18.05.1883 at Malahide. James was a farm labourer.
3 Eugene Davidson born 25.05.1885 at Glenageary Park. Eugene enlisted with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers.
He served from 05.09.1908 to 30.12.1910. In 1911 he was a gardener living at 6.4 Hollyfield Buildings
in Rathmines in 1911 with his brother William. Eugene a Widower married Margaret Rogers a Widow
daughter of James Price on 20.01.1934 at St Patricks Parish Church, Powerscourt. Margaret died on
04.11.1946 at the County Home, Rathdrum late of Enniskerry. Eugene died 04.02.1949 aged 64 years
at the Meath Hospital.
4 Rupert Davidson born 03.06.1887 and baptised at St Brigid’s, Stillorgan. Rupert died of Typhoid Fever on
29.12.1900 aged 13 years and is buried at Deansgrange.
5 Francis Henry Davidson born 30.07.1889 at Stillorgan and baptised at St Brigid’s, Stillorgan.
6 Jeremiah Davidson born 11.07.1891 and baptised at St Brigid’s, Stillorgan. Jeremiah aged 19 years was a
footman in 1911 for Lord Langford at Sumerhill Demesne.
7 David Octavius Davidson born 01.12.1893 and baptised at St Brigid’s, Stillorgan. David born in Stillorgan
enlisted with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers in Newtownkennedy and was killed in action on 23.10.1916. He is
remembered on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
8 Albert Davidson born 14.07.1896 and baptised at St Brigid’s, Stillorgan. Albert aged 15 years was a farm
servant in 1911 with the Crampton family at Blackditches Lower, Togher, Wicklow. He married Isabella
Thornton on 11 Jul 1922 at Stillorgan Parish Church. Bella was the daughter of George Thornton,
gardener at Mount Merrion.
9 Kathleen Victoria Davidson born 02.12.1897 and baptised at St Brigid’s, Stillorgan. Kathleen was living at
Corkagh, Clondalkin at the time of David’s death.
