Patrick Cooper born in Co Longford circa 1837 married Ellen Smyth daughter of Susan Smyth
and worked as a butler at Shannon Grove Ballinaloe. Ellen died 8 Jul 1900 aged 60 at
Dunstaffnage Cottage and Patrick died 9 May 1911 age 73 at Dunstaffnage Cottage, both
were buried at Deansgrange.
1 William Samuel Cooper born circa 1863 in Co Galway was a valet at Chapelizod when
he married Bridget Walsh, daughter of Patrick Walsh at St Thomas's Church on
10 Jan 1887. He was a wine porter and lived at one of the gatelodges at Kings Inns.
1 Ellen Cooper born circa 1887 (Probably 10 Dec 1887 at Chapelizod - see register).
2 Thomas George Cooper born Temple Gardens, King's Inns 9 Oct 1889 worked as a
footman.
3 William G Cooper born circa 1892 Dublin City worked as a waiter.
4 Annie Cooper born 29 Jul 1893 at Kings Inns Cottages married George Burt
Tabor, a soldier at St Brigid's Stillorgan on 9 Jun 1920.
5 Lucy Cooper born 12 Oct 1894 at Kings Inns Cottages married Walter Allen Attree
son of Walter Attree at Glenageary Church 10 Jan 1921. Walter was a Sergeant
with the 2nd Batt, Berkshire Regiment.
6 Michael John Cooper born 1 Oct 1897 at Kings Inns Cottages.
2 Lucy Jane Cooper born 29 Dec 1865 at Church Hill, Ballinasloe. She was a dressmaker
and lived at Garnaville Cottage, Stillorgan she died 8 Feb 1945 at Rathmichael
Schoolhouse and was buried at Deansgrange.
3 Anna Maria Cooper born 10 May 1868 at Shannon Grove, Ballinasloe.
4 Rebecca Cooper born 4 Dec 1870 at Shannon Grove, Ballinasloe married Patrick Daly
a tailor from Co Louth on 12 Apr 1891 at St Thomas's Church, Dublin. Rebecca was
living at King's Inns Cottages, Henrietta Street and Patrick was living Rutland Street.
Rebecca died on 30 Jan 1905 and was buried with her parents.
1 Lucy Daly born 23 Sep 1891 at 13 Buckingham Street was baptised at Stillorgan
Parish Church. She married James Byrne at Blackrock 2 Jul 1913.
2 May Daly born 19 Oct 1893 at 13 Buckingham Street was baptised at Stillorgan
Parish Church.
3 Eleanor Violet Daly born 16 Oct 1896 at Buckingham Street was baptised at Stillorgan
Parish Church. Eleanor with an address of Dunstaffnagh Cottage married Thomas
William Carroll, at Stillorgan Parish Church on 14 Dec 1921. Thomas was a book
keeper from Francis Street and son of Edward Carroll, a wine porter. Both are buried at
Deansgrange.

5 Richard Cooper born 29 Mar 1873 at Shannon Grove, County Galway, a butler he
married Mary (Minnie) Eleanor Sargison, daughter of Edward Sargison. She worked
as a servant at St Margaret's, Donnybrook (now the Teresian School). They married on
7 Feb 1894 at St Mary's Church, Donnybrook. Richard was living at Dunstaffnage Cottage,
Stillorgan and worked as a gardener at Westbury and was working as a gardener at
Thornhill in 1901. They moved to Garnaville Cottage on the Kilmacud Road after 1913.
Minnie died 26 Jul 1953 at Garnavilla Cottage and an acknowledgement of thanks was sent to
the directors of Messrs Briggs & McCrea (Motor Factors), McCabes and Messes R W Archer
(Garage) where presumably some of the family worked. Richard died 28 Jul 1956 at Garnaville
Cottage, both are buried at St Brigid's graveyard.
1 Charles Cooper born 22 Dec 1894 at Westbury, Stillorgan was baptised at Stillorgan
Parish Church married Mary Mulhall at the Roman Catholic church at Golden Bridge
on 6 Aug 1924. Mary, daughter of Patrick Mulhall was a ladies maid living in
Inchicore but originally from Stillorgan. Charles died in 1958 and is buried
at St Brigid's churchyard.
2 Richard Edward Cooper born 2 Dec 1895 at Kilmacud was baptised at Stillorgan Parish
Church married Mary Leo Sinnott, daughter of James Sinnott from Cornelscourt at the
Roman Catholic University Church, Stephen's Green on 21 Oct 1924.
3 Ernest Christian Cooper born 25 Dec 1898 at Glenalbyn Cottages, Stillorgan
became an electrician. He married Ethel Jennings of Mobhi Road, the daughter
of William Jennings, a farmer on 14 Aug 1930 at Glasnevin parish church.
Both are buried at St Brigid's churchyard.
4 Violet May Cooper born 7 May 1904 at Kilternan married Charles Haspey, a
cable linesman, the son of William Haspey, tradesman on 27 Feb 1930 at St
Brigid's Church, Stillorgan.
1 Richard Haspey born 1930 died 27 Nov 1931 aged ten months at
the Rotunda Hospital late of Garnaville cottage.
Violet secondly married Howard Morrow.
6 Ellenor (Ellen) Cooper born 9 Jul 1878 at Eyrecourt, Ballinasloe married Michael Robert
Davidson, (Robert) a labourer on 5 Jun 1923 at St Brigid's Church. Michael was the son
of James Samuel Davidson of Goatstown Cottages, Dundrum and worked for the County
Council. Ellen was caretaker of the old dispensary in Stillorgan from 1905 to1909 but
lost her job when the new dispensary was built. She then earned her living as a
dressmaker. After her marriage to Robert they lived at Old Brewery Road, Stillorgan.
Robert died in 1941 and was buried at Deansgrange. Eleanor died at Church Buildings,
Stillorgan. She was buried with her sister Lucy at Deansgrange.
7 Emily Violet Cooper born 17 Apr 1878 at Kingscourt Banagher married Charles Joseph
Wilson at St Brigid's Church on 12 Nov 1913. Emily was living at Dunstaffnage Cottage
and Charles, son of Joseph Wilson was a gardener working at Talbot Lodge.
1 Emily Constance Wilson born 17 Aug 1914 at Talbot Lodge was baptised at
Stillorgan Parish Church.
2 Arthur Charles Wilson born 9 Sep 1915 at Talbot Lodge was baptised at Stilllorgan
Parish Church.
8 Harriett Cooper born 12 Nov 1880 at Moystown, Banagher married Alexander Gordon
Marchbank, a compositor from Booterstown House and the son of Richard Marchbank,
a printer, at Stillorgan Parish Church on 25 Jan 1901.
1 Arthur Marchbank born 7 Mar 1901 at The Rotunda Hospital died 21 Apr 1907
at Olivemount Cottage, Windy Arbour having been scalded.
2 Robert Marchbank born 7 Jul 1904 at The Rotunda Hospital died 1908.
3 William Frederick Marchbank born 16 Aug 1906 at Olivemount Cottage,
Windy Arbour.
