Heffernan Considine of Derk, Pallas Green, Limerick. He was Resident Magistrate for 18 years
in Ulster. He married Eliza Mary Stanislaus (Mary) McMahon 2nd daughter of John McMahon
of Firgrove, Clare on 26.11.1845 at her father’s residence. (Registered at Killnasula Church,
Newmarket-on-Fergus). Mary died 05.08.1885 at Upper Merrion Street, Dublin.
1 Heffernan James Fritz John Considine eldest son born circa 1845 was educated at
Stonyhurst College and Lincolm College, Oxford. He married Emily Talbot daughter of
the late John Hyacinth Talbot of Castle Talbot and Ballytrent, Wexford on 08.01.1880.
Heffernan was High Sheriff of Limerick in 1881 and Knighted in 1908. Heffernan was
Deputy Inspector General of the RIC from 1900 to 1911. The family lived at Farmhill
between 1901 and 1912. Emily died on 11.08.1903 aged 50 and Heffernan died on
12.02.1912 at Farm Hill, Dundrum. He left 90K in personal estate.
1 Elizabeth Mary Considine born 20.01.1881 at Coolgrean, Limerick and late of
Knockma, Mallow died on 16.11.1970 and is buried at Glasnevin.
2 Mary Considine born 30.01.1882 in Enniscorthy.
3 Captain Heffernan James Considine eldest son born on 03.10.1883 at Denny
Street, Tralee of the Royal Irish Regiment was killed in action on the 27.10.1916
aged 33 years in Belgium.
4 Captain Talbot John Considine born 20.11.1884 at Denny Street, Tralee married
Mary Stanislaus White daughter of Col W J White on 16.02.1920 at the Catholic
Church, Monkstown. Talbot was a Clerk in John Power’s Distillery in 1911 and
served with the 5th Batt Royal Fusiliers. Talbot died on 02.04.1937 aged 52 at
his residence Derk, Limerick.
1 Heffernan Christopher John Considine died on 16.08.1927 aged 6
years of Meningitis at Elpis Hospital.
5 Matilda Mary Angela Considine born 09.09.1886 at Castle Talbot, Wexford.
6 Christopher Daniel born 21.12.1887 at Newpark, Kilkenny served as Second
Lieutenant with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers and was killed in action on
24.05.1915 near Ypres.
7 Anne Eliza Frances Mary Considine born 26.08.1889 at Newpark, Kilkenny
married Thomas Richard Barter Seigne son of John Seigne on 28.11.1918 at
the Church of Templebredin, Tipperary. Thomas late of the Logs, St Ann’s
Hill, Cork died on 16.12.1936.
8 Francis Augustus Reginald Considine born 07.02.1892 at Newpark, Kilkenny
served with the 2nd Batt Royal Munster Fusiliers married Sylvia Elenor
Murray Hope daughter of Bateman Hope on 10.11.1921 at Victoria, British
Columbia. Francis died on 30.06.1975 in British Columbia.
9 St John Power Considine born 23.07.1893 at Newpark, Kilkenny married
Irene Margaret Hope daughter of Bateman Hope on 10.11.1921 at Victoria,
British Columbia, Canada. St John died circa 13.11.1972 aged 79 years.
2 Anna Margaret Considine born circa 1848 in Limerick. She married Colonel
William John White, son of John White in 1880. She was a widow living with her
brother Thomas in 1911. She died on 25 Jan 1914 at Grosvenor House,
Monkstown, her brother Heffernan the informant.
1 Mary Stanislaus (Mona) White born circa 1889 in Scotland. She married her
cousin Talbot Considine in 1920 at Monkstown RC Church. Talbot was the
son of Heffernan F Considine.
3 Daniel Considine born circa 1849. He was ordained in 1881 Society of Jesuits.
4 Frances Considine born circa 1850. Rev Mother Mary Joseph Considine died at
the Ursuline Convent, Waterford on 07.01.1936. She had spent 62 years in the
religious life and server for two separate periods as Mother Superior.
5 Elizabeth Considine born circa 1852 in Limerick, a spinster living with her brother
Thomas in 1911.
6 Helena Considine born circa 1853 in Limerick, a spinster living with her brother
Thomas in 1911.
7 Percy Considine born circa 1861 Templebredin, Co Limerick.
8 St John Considine was born circa 1862. He was educated at Stonyhurst College,
Blackburn, Lancashire, England and Trinity College, Dublin. He was Auditor Local
Government Board in 1911. He died a bachelor on 12.05.1925 at St Stephen's
Green Club.
9 Thomas Ivory Considine born circa 1869 in France. He was an MD of Dundrum
Asylum and Inspector of Mental Hospitals. He was living at Kensington,
Rochestown Avenue in 1911.
