William Walker Clover younger son of late John Clover of Liverpool married Elizabeth Poulter elder
daughter of Jonathan Poulter of Poplar, Middlesex. William was a broker and auctioneer with offices
at the Commercial Buildings in Dame Street. He also was an agent for E Remy, Martin & Co, Cognac,
the Cork Distilleries & Co and Ay Champagne. He was churchwarden of All Saints, Blackrock in 1903
and a member of the Select Vestry. The family lived at Hamilton Lodge circa 1881-1888 and from
there they moved to Proby Square, Blackrock.

Square and died unmarried on 03.03.1941 aged 76 years at the Rectory in Naas.
2 John Poulton Clover eldest son born 15.06.1863 at Bombay, India. John died on 24.06.1937
aged 74 years at Johannesburg.
1 Kate Cecilia Hamilton Clover born circa 1894 South Africa married George Herbert
Powell of 6 Weston Terrace, Blackrock son of James George Powell on 04.08.1917 at All
Saints Church, Blackrock. Witnesses: Elizabeth Clover and Julia Anne Powell.
3 William Hamilton Clover born circa 1867 Liverpool. William unmarried living with his parents at
Proby Square in 1911. William died 13.05.1920 of Pilot Cottages, Sandycove and is buried at
Deansgrange.
4 Mary Clover born circa 1868 Liverpool living with her brother Edward in 1911 in Naas. Mary worked
at the War Hospital Supply Naas sub depot during WW1 and was awarded the VW Badge and 1 bar.
Mary died unmarried on 04.02.1942 aged 74 years at Pamerstown House and is buried at
Deansgrange.
5 Laura Clover born 06.02.1870 at 29 Parkfield Road, Princes Park, Liverpool. Laura living with her
parents in 1911 at Proby Square. Laura was a talented golfer and Hon Sec of Stillorgan Park Golf
Club until it closed in 1917. She moved to Naas to live with her brother and was a member of the
vestry. Laura died unmarried aged 72 years on 27.05.1942 at Sir Patrick Dunn’s Hospital late of St
David’s Castle, Naas.
6 Rev Canon Edward Walker Clover born 1872 Liverpool. Edward was Rector of Naas, Co Kildare and
died on 26.11.1954.
