1 John Woods born circa 1848 at Loughlinstown was baptised at Kingstown on 30 Jul 1848.
He was a labourer of Foxrock and married Elizabeth Bullock, daughter of William Bullock, a
cook on the mail steamer at Monkstown Parish Church on 8 Mar 1869. John became a
seaman working as a fireman/stoker on a steamer. He died 6 Jul 1903 at Monkstown
Hospital late of 6 Pim’s Cottages, Clarence Tce, Kingstown and was buried at Deansgrange.
1 Christopher William Woods born 25 Dec 1869 at 6 Kingstown Parade.
2 John James Woods born 18 Nov 1871 at 15 Mulgrave Street, Kingstown. He
emigrated to America and died a bachelor at Brooklyn, New York on 21 Jun 1924.
3 Rosina Mary Woods born 3 Jun 1873 at Sussex Street, Kingstown married Herbert
James Smith, son of John Smith, a groom at Monkstown Parish Church on
20 Nov 1897. Herbert was a Lance Corporal in the West Kent Regiment.

5 Christina Woods born 28 Sep 1877 at Stoneview Place, Kingstown married Henry
Chandler, son of Joseph Chandler, a labourer, at The Registrar’s Office in Kingstown on
19 Apr 1899. Henry was a Private in the Yorkshire Regiment.

7 Emma Woods born circa 1883 in Co Dublin was an unemployed domestic servant
living with her parents at Sweetman’s Avenue, Blackrock in 1901.

3 Robert Woods born circa 1851 county Dublin was a herd living at Stillorgan and married Anne
Byrne at Haddington Road Church on 19 May 1878. Anne was a servant working at 51
Waterloo Road and the daughter of William Byrne of Killineary, Co Wicklow. They lived at
Merville Cottage and had two children both of whom were dead by 1911. Anne worked as a
servant and died at Loughlinstown Hospital late of Merville Cottage on 20 May 1924 and was
buried at Deansgrange. Robert died 6 May 1938 at Mount Pleasant Avenue and was buried
with his wife at Deansgrange.

parcel porter and died a bachelor 4 Jul 1897 at Merville Cottage, Stillorgan and was
buried at Deansgrange.
2 Mary Margaret Woods born 26 Feb 1884 at Stillorgan died a spinster at Brewery Road
on 3 Apr 1901 and was buried at Deansgrange.
4 Samuel Woods born 1852 baptised at Kingstown on 24 Oct 1852.
5 Mary Woods born 1859 at Foxrock, baptised at Kingstown on 3 Apr 1859. A spinster living with
her mother in 1901 and was working as a domestic servant living at 6 Kilmacud Road in 1911.
She was a char woman and died at Loughlinstown Hospital late of 6 Kilmacud Road on
11 Feb 1927 and was buried in Deansgrange.
6 Catherine Woods married William Godly a shop assistant.
1 Mary Agnes (Agnes) Godley born 15 Jun 1882 at Galloping Green. She was a domestic
servant and married John Murphy and went to live in Swansea. She died 19 Sep 1953 and
was buried at Deansgrange.
*Kathleen Evans born circa 1885 at Kingstown a dress maker in 1901 living with her grandmother.
