William Lawless of the French Service married Mary Evans on 17.01.1810 in Paris, France. Mary
was the daughter of Hampden Evans and Margaret Davies of Portrane. Mary was also the sister
of Sydney Elizabeth Evans who married Rev Thomas Acton of West Acton. William and Mary lived
at Ardmeen from 1876 to 1887 when William died 27.03.1887 at Ardmeen, Blackrock. Mary died
at Ventnor, on the Isle of Wight on 05.04.1909.
1 Major William Hampden Evans Lawless born circa 1859 married Lucy Alethea born circa
1865 in Hampshire daughter of Lt Col Francis Grey and Sarah Mowatt on 01.06.1889 at St
Pauls, Wilton Place, Knightsbridge, England. Lucy died on 20.01.1905 in London aged 46 and
William died 05.06.1916 in the Isle of Wight aged 57 years.
2 Skerrett Edward George Lawless (Brigadier General) born 20.09.1860 married Helen
Thomasine Margaret Bayly only daughter of Rev Edward Bayly and Mary Elizabeth Mosse on
18.04.1912 in London. Skerrett died on 07.03.1936 and Helen died on 24.05.1947 both in
Florence.
3 Eliza (Iza) Mary Anna Lawless only daughter married Lt William Hanna of the RH Artillery
eldest son of late Samuel Hanna of Corduff House, Lusk on 28.10.1882 at All Saints Church,
Blackrock. Susan Berdée Mason of Elm Grove was a witness at the ceremony.
1 Iza May Grace Hanna baptised in All Saints on 23.05.1887.
4 Joseph Aymer Charles Lawless born 01.02.1868 Blackrock and died 1868.
