Richard Alexander Walker born circa 1803, 2nd son of Samuel Walker and Frances Crampton
He was educated at Castledawson and was a solicitor. He married Priscilla Wall daughter of
the late Garret Wall in 1828. Priscilla died in 1847 at Grenville Street and was buried at Mount
Jerome.
1 Captain Samuel Cooper Walker eldest son born circa 1829. Samuel of the 19th Hussars
born 1829 died 21.07.1869 aged 40 years at Benares, India.
2 Richard Crampton Walker born circa 1831 a Solicitor married Elizabeth Ryan daughter
of Daniel Philip Ryan JP of Knocklyon on 25.10.1866 at Tallaght Church. Richard died on
01.01.1913 aged 81 years and Elizabeth died on 04.10.1916 aged 81 both at Fonthill
Abbey and they are buried at Mount Jerome.
1 Richard Annesley Walker a born 1871 second son of Richard Crampton
Walker of Fonthill Abbey, Rathfarnham. He was a solicitor of 86 Merrion
Square married Lilian Charlotte Kirkpatrick on 03.05.1901 at Whitechurch Parish
Church. Lilian was the third daughter of Rev George Kirkpatrick of St Catherine’s,
Rathfarnham. Richard and Lilian lived at Bellevue Farm from 1910 to 1912 and
had no issue in 1911. He published a number of law books with regard to purchasing
land in Ireland in relation to the Land Acts of 1903 and 1904. Richard died on
12.07.1958 aged 87 years and Lilian died on 13.04.1965 aged 90 years both at
Fonthill Abbey.
2 Elizabeth Mary Walker born 21.10.1872 Gardiner’s Place married Charles Leeper a
widower and son of Rev Alexander Leeper of 27 Hatch Street, Dublin on 05.01.1914
at Rathfarnham Parish Church.
3 Harriet Frances Walker born 06.07.1875 married Robert Dedrichson son of George
Dedrichson of Litton Hotel, Newbury on 08.02.1919 at the Parish Church,
Rathfarnham.
3 Joseph Walker 3rd son died at Essequibo on 22.03.1870.
4 John Philip Walker 4th son born circa 1838. John was a third officer of the White Star Adriatic
and was accidently drowned at Birkenhead on 28.11.1874 aged 36 years.
Richard a widower married secondly Harriette Roper on 16.02.1858 at St George’s Church, Dublin.
Richard died in 1881 and Harriett died on 29.12.1907 aged 78 years at Kingstown.
