Rev Richard Toppin of Donobrite son of John Richard Toppins married Bessie Tandy
daughter of Charles Samuel Tandy of Sion Lodge, Waterford on 25.06.1860. Richard
was Precentor of Waterford Cathedral and Rector of Tramore.

1 Margaret (Daisy) Toppin eldest daughter born circa 1862 Tipperary and died
unmarried on 04.07.1929 at Newtown, Tramore. Informant sister Rose.
2 Marion (May) Toppin born circa 1864 living with her sister in Tramore in 1936.
3 John Toppin born 19.05.1865 at Donohill, Tipperary.
4 Charles Samuel Toppin born 06.10.1866 at Donohill Parsonage was later Auditor
General of Western Australia.
5 Son Toppin born 15.06.1868 at Glasdrum.
6 Henry Toppin born 20.02.1870 at Glasdrum. He was educated at the old Diocesan
School in Waterford and later in Germany. He graduated from Trinity College
Dublin and was a talented linguist. He joined the RIC as a cadet in 1891 and
became a District Inspector with the Royal Irish Constabulary initially at Kilbeggan.
He married Amy Constance Greene daughter of John Greene of Galstown House,
Meath on 14.04.1893 at St Matthias Church, Dublin. Witnesses J Toppin and
Martha Constance Archer. In 1901 Henry and Amy were living at Belmont Villa,
Dundrum, Dublin and in 1911 they were living at 12 Ringmeen, Cork with niece
Elizabeth Adelaide Greene. They had no issue. In 1902 Henry was transferred from
Dundrum, Co Dublin to Wicklow and was appointed resident magistrate to Cork
in 1913 and for Mayo based in Ballina in 1915. He enlisted and served during WW1
In 1923 he was Resident Magistrate for Antrim in 1923 and retired in 1937. Henry
Toppin, OBE (military) died on 6 Feb 1944 at Woodhouse, Rostrevor. Amy died
05.02.1948 in Co Down.
7 Rose Maria Louisa Toppin third daughter born 1873. She was educated at the old
Diocesan School in Waterford and later in German. She died unmarried on
04.01.1936 at Newtown, Tramore. Informant brother Henry Toppin of 106 Osborne
Gardens, Belfast.
8 Alice Gertrude Mary Toppin born circa 1875 married Rev John Francis Maurice
Nash son of Rev Richard Wm Herbert Nash on 11.09.1906 at Drumcannon
Parish Church.
