Louisa was a civil servant and clerk in the GPO in 1901. On the night of the census, Florence
Day, also a clerk in the GPO is listed as a visitor. It appears that Louisa was living in part of
Charles Sargison’s house. Charles was the caretaker of Stillorgan Dispensary and sexton of
Stillorgan Parish Church. It was around this time that he was given notice to quit the house,
and had declined. He was on a salary of £4 pa as caretaker and was looking for an increase.
Louisa was lodging with the Byrne family at Murphystown, Glencullen, Dublin in 1911 by
which time she had retired. She died a spinster from cancer on 22 Sep 1932 at 1 Montrose
