Henry Rennicks born circa 1837 son of James Rennicks, a stone cutter. He married Mary Nixon
on 8 Jul 1875 at St Mary’s Church of Ireland. Mary was the daughter of Richard Nixon, a farmer.
Henry was a widower, a stone cutter and was living at Oldbridge, Meath in 1901. Sheephouse
was a small cluster of houses near Oldbridge, Drogheda, Barony of Duleek, County Meath. The
Sheephouse quarries were famous for their limestone which was used in the O’Connell
monument, various churches and landmark buildings in Dublin and Drogheda. Mary died
3 Dec 1896 at Oldbridge. Henry was trading as Rennick's and Nixon by 1904 and selling lime
by the barrel. Henry died 30 May 1912 at the Adelaide Hospital, late of Sheephouse.
1 Ellen Rennicks born 4 Mar 1877 at Newtown, Platten was a dressmaker in 1901. She
married Peter Gibney at St Peter’s Roman Catholic Church on 20 Jan 1906. Peter was a
stonecutter and the son of John Gibney, stonecutter.

25 May 1899 at Church of Ireland, Mellifont, Drogheda. Henry was a widower and a game
keeper at Townley Hall working for the Balfour family. He was the son of John Blennerhassett,
a steward. Maria was living with her father in 1911.

was living at the Cottage, Dalkey in 1915 when she married Joseph Graham on 22 Sep 1915
at Dalkey Parish Church. Joseph was a gardener living at Booterstown and the son of
Francis Graham, a gardener.

9 Rebecca Rennicks born 11 Oct 1890 at Sheephouse, gave birth to a child in 1912 at Sheep
House and an inquest was held into the death of the child. A man called John Baird was
supposed to be the father.
10 John Rennicks fourth son born 28 Feb 1892 at Sheep House was a stone cutter living at
Oldcastle in 1911. He moved to Dublin and worked at Mt Jerome Monumental Works for
Simon Maddock. He enlisted a few days after the start of the war and was with the tenth
Division, 6th Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers at Suvla Bay. He was killed in action at the
Dardanelles on the 21 Aug 1915.
11 Robert Rennicks born 17 Mar 1893 at Sheep House married Emily Edith Victoria Morrow on
5 Sep 1927 at Stillorgan Parish Church. Emily was the daughter of Robert Morrow of Tigh
Lorcan Hall, Stillorgan.
