Thomas Prendergast son of Thomas Prendergast married Jane Gordon daughter of Samuel Gordon
of Spring Garden, Waterford. Thomas was Deputy Register of the Court of Chancery 1787 and called
to the bar 1791. A Member of Parliament for Castlemartyr bet 1797 and 1800 and a Member of
Parliament for Clonakilty. Thomas was appointed as a trustee in Stephen Gordon's will circa 1796.
Jane is mentioned as a benefiaciary in her father’s will. Jan Gordon died 01.04.1818 and was buried
with her husband, eleven sons and eight daughters at St Brides.

3 Jeffrey Samuel Prendergast born Nov 1797 joined the 3rd Foot Guards (which
became The Scots Fusilier Guards) and fought at the battle of Waterloo. He died
a bachelor with Pneumonia on 22.01.1884 aged 87 years at his residence Melville,
Avoca Avenue, Blackrock. He was buried at Mount Jerome with the Cleburne sisters.
He left 9K in personal estate and his executor was Mary Jane Cleburne.
