Anna. Matthew died in 1855 aged 63 years and Anna died in 1882 aged 78 years. They are buried in
the family vault at Mount Jerome. Powerscourt House in South William Street was purchased by the
wholesale textile firm, Ferrier, Pollock and Company in 1832.

14.01.1853 at Waringtown Church. Rev Alexander Matthew Pollock Chaplain of the Magdalen
Asylum died on 14.02.1865 aged 45 years at his residence Burlington Road, Dublin. Mary
Louisa Pollock died on 18.07.1873 at Malahide aged 43 years.

2 Matthew James Pollock born circa 1821 lived at 59 William Street and Oatlands. He was
churchwarden of Stillorgan Parish Church and laid the foundation stone of All Saints in 1870.
He died a bachelor on 05.05.1881 at Oatlands aged 60 years brother to John Edward and James
Gibson and left 60K in personal estate.
3 Mary Louisa Pollock eldest daughter born circa 1825 married William Robert Powell a Civil
Engineer son of Edward Powell on 31.05.1860 at St Paul’s Cathedral, Calcutta. Maria Louisa
died in India on 11.10.1864 aged 39 years. William Robert Powell died in India on 06.04.1865 of
Cholera aged 42 years. Letters of Administration granted to Matthew James Pollock Uncle and
Guardian of the Minor Children.

4 Isabella Harriet Pollock 2nd daughter born circa 1835 married on 09.08.1854 at St Brigid’s
Church in Stillorgan to Rev William Fraser of Underwood, Paisley, Scotland son of Lachlan Fraser.
The ceremony was performed by the bride’s brother Rev Alexander. Isabel and William went to live
in Scotland. William died circa September 1879 aged 62 years. In 1854 a piece of ground at
Underwood Road was presented by Mr James Pollock to Rev William Fraser's church on which a
manse was to be built.

last surviving daughter of Matthew Pollock of Oatlands.
9 John Edward Pollock born circa 1846 and died on 31.12.1893 aged 47 years at Renmark
South Australia late of Oatlands, Stillorgan and Glenomaru, New Zealand. Letters of
administration were granted on the estate of his mother Anna Pollock in 1882 to John.
10 James Gibson Pollock born circa 1848 married Rosamond Caroline Grant youngest daughter
of the late Rev John Grant incumbent of Stillorgan on 30.06.1880 at the British Legation in
Berne. James Gibson Pollock of the firm of Pollock and Ferrier died 01.01.1904 at Oatlands
aged 55 years. He was interred in Kill o’ the Grange Cemetery. He left 21k in personal estate.
Rosamond died 01.05.1933 and was buried with her husband.
1 Matthew Grant Pollock born circa 1881 educated at Malvern College. Matthew a
Captain in the Royal Engineers died on 21.03.1910 at 29 Eglinton Road aged 28
years and was buried at Deansgrange.
2 Mary Rosamund Cara (Rosamond Mary) Pollock born 25.09.1882 married Henry
Richardson, barrister and son of Joseph Richardstone of Shankhill at St Bartholomew's
Church, Dublin on 30.10.1924. Rosamond died 18.11.1955 at Killiney.
3 Commander Henry Brodhurst Pollock born 27.10.1883 educated at Malvern College.
He was a Commander in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve DSO. He married
Dorothy Margaret Blood daughter of Alexander Findlater Blood and Rachel Anne
Park on 11.09.1916 at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin and lived at Castleknock Lodge.
Dorothy died 24.07.1973 and Henry died on 18.10.1952.
4 Catherine Hertig Pollock born 28.10.1884 at Oatlands died a spinster at Glensilva
Nursing Home on 16.03.1955 and was buried at Deansgrange.
11 Charles Frederick Pollock born circa 1849 graduated University of Dublin July in 1867 Master
Surgeon, 5th Fusiliers married Ida Louisa Candida Louisa daughter of V Bartolucci of
Greenville Park, Kilkenny at Kilmacow Church on 22.10.1873. Ida died in Umbala India on
08.05.1885. Letters of administration were granted to her husband Charles F Pollock of
Oatlands, Surgeon Major Medical Staff. Charles moved to Scotland and died at Dumfries on
19.12.1915.
