Thomas Pearson, farmer and coachman married Susan circa 1847. Thomas died 16 Dec 1891 at
Thrushbank and was buried at Donegal Abbey Graveyard. Susan died a widow on 21 Jul 1894 at
Lough Eske, Donegal aged 1894 and was buried with her husband.
1 Martha Susan Pearson born circa 1850 married John Hammond 4 May 1871 at Fierey.
John was a labourer and the son of Atchison Hammond. They had seven children of
whom 6 survived in 1911. John, a farmer at Lougheske died 28 Nov 1912 at
Drumenanagh.

2 Eliza Hammond born circa 1881 living with her parents in 1911.
3 Martha Susan Hammond born circa 1886 died 25 May 1909.
4 James Pearson Hammond youngest son born circa 1884 married Isabella Crummer
on 4 Oct 1911 at Lough Eske Parish Church. Isabella was the second daughter of
Adam Crummer of Drimrooske, Donegal.
2 Margaret Pearson born circa 1852 married William Hammond on 5 Dec 1876 and lived at
Frieiry, Longheske. William was a farmer and the son of Atchison Hammond. She died
suddenly on 28 Jul 1894 at Drimminagh (Drumenanagh) just a week after the death of her
mother. She was survived by her husband and six small children.
3 Thomas Pearson born 13 Apr 1856 in Co Donegal graduated Trinity in 1887 and took Holy
orders. He ministered in Lavey in Co Cavan where he was a member of Larah and Lavry
Temperance Society until 1889. He married Minna Georgia Rotheram at Downton
Wiltshire on 5 Aug 1897. Minna (born circa 1862 in Co Meath) was the daughter of George
Augustus Rotheram and his second wife Minna Sarah Brinkley. She was the niece of Anna
Webber nee Brinckley, Countess of Kingston. He was incumbent of Christchurch, Carysfort
for 32 years retiring in 1924. He held a mission in The Townhall, Blackrock in 1904 and
took part in The All-Ireland Temperance Bazaar held at Ballsbridge in 1905. They lived at
Idrone Terrace, Blackrock in 1901 and Prince Edward Terrace Lower, Carysfort Avenue in
1911. Thomas died on 1 Aug 1926 at Grayshott, and was buried at St Luke’s, East
Hampshire. Minna died at Grayshott on 8 Sep 1937 age 77 and was buried at St Luke’s with
her husband.
1 George Thomas Pearson born 15 Jul 1898 at Idrone Terrace, Blackrock joined the
army and attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He married Noreen Eileen (Eileen
Nora) Russell in 1931 at Birkenhead. He was the main beneficiary in the will of his
uncle Colonel Walter Henry Rotheram who died in 1940). At the time he was serving
in Madras and his wife was with him. George died 5 Jun 1972 late of Merlyn Park,
Ballsbridge and was buried at Deansgrange.
2 John Frank Ross Pearson born 6 Mar 1903 at Rosemount, Avoca Avenue died a
bachelor on 14 Mar 1971 at Stewarts Hospital, Palmerstown and was buried in
Deansgrange.
4 John Pearson born circa 1862 in Donegal married Charlotte Jane Cole McIntosh circa 1881.
He was a missionary (Agent for the Irish Church Mission) and founder of a temperance
group called 'Catch My Pal'. He was also very outspoken and protested against the Papal
Degree Ne Temere, declaring it ‘Unjust, uncharitable, and calculated to stir up social and
domestic discord and strife contrary to the laws of both God and man.’ He spoke at
missions on his missionary and colportage work. They had eleven children of whom eight
had survived in 1911. Charlotte was a school mistress. The family lived at 105 SCR from
1919 to 1930. John died 27 Dec 1930 at Rialto. Charlotte died a widow at Belgrave Road
on 29 Sep 1936 age 73. Both were buried at Mount Jerome.
1 John Pearson eldest son born circa 1882 died 9 May 1908 at Steeven’s Hospital.
2 Margaret Jessie Pearson born circa 1884 Co Donegal attended St Peter’s School in
Drogheda and won the Lord Primate’s Gold medal in 1899. She married Henry
Francis Norman on 18 Jan 1907 at St Peters Church. Henry was the youngest son of
Hollester George Norman.
3 Thomas Pearson born circa 1886 Co Louth attended St Peter’s School in Drogheda
and won the Lord Primates Silver medal in 1899.
4 James Alex Pearson born Dublin City circa 1888 took Holy orders. He was curate of
St James Dublin and was appointed by the War Office chaplain to Her Majesty’s
Forces in 1915.
5 William Archibald Pearson fifth son born 1 Jun 1890 at 135 Townsend Street, Dublin
took Holy orders and was living in London in 1936. He died at Danehill Vicarage,
Sussex on 19 Mar 1943.
6 Edward Edmond Pearson born 22 Jul 1892 at Roundstone, Galway.
7 Charlotte Susan Pearson born 4 Jun 1896 in Galway.
8 Henry Fleetwood Roberts Pearson born 26 Jun 1900 in Co Louth married Frances
Fitzroy on 27 Dec 1923. Frances was the daughter of Thomas Fitzroy an estate
steward. They lived at 105 SCR and had children. Henry, a teacher died
27 Nov 1951 and was buried at Mount Jerome.
9 Jane Violet Pearson youngest child born circa 1903 in Co Louth. She died after being
hit by a military motor lorry whilst cycling on 11 Dec 1919.
