daughter of David Henchy of Rockfield, Blackrock on 26.12.1796. He was a general
merchant with premises at Bective House, Queen Street, Dublin. They lived at Rockfield,
Blackrock. Mary died on 31.03.1814 and Valentine died on 26.12.1829.

4 Mary O'Connor born circa 1802 married Baron de Curnieu.
5 Monica O'Connor born circa 1803 married Peter Purcell of Halverstown in 1825.
6 Julia O'Connor born circa 1806 died 9 May 1821.
7 Honoria O'Connor youngest daughter married Peter Slingsby Fitzgerald, second son
of John Purcell Fitzgerald of Little Island, Waterford at Halverstown, Co Kildare on
11 Sep 1832. Honoria died 19.06.1866 at St Margarets', Twickenham and Peter died
aged 67 at Bournemouth on 13.02.1875.
8 David O'Connor, second son born 23 May 1810 was educated at Oscott College and
graduated Trinity College Dublin. He assumed his mother's name and was MP for
Co Kildare. He married Elizabeth Anne Burke, eldest daughter of Sir John Burke of
Marble Hill, Co Galway on 10 Jan 1850 at Marble Hill and they lived at Stonebrook,
Ballymore Eustace, Co Kildare. David O'Connor Henchy died on 1 Dec 1876.
1 Elizabeth O'Connor Henchy only daughter born circa 1851 in Co Galway. She
married George Morris on 6 Apr 1875 at St Andrew's Church, Westland Row.
George was a DL and MP and resided at Well Park, Galway. They had one
daughter.
2 Hugh O'Connor Henchy born 31 Dec 1852 in Co Kildare. He served with the
19th Hussars and later was appointed a JP. He married Mary Maud Victoria
Browne at the Roman Catholic Church of St Peter's, Palace Street,
Westminster on 31 Aug 1887. Maud was the only daughter of General Andrew
Browne of Moyvilla Castle, county Galway. They had no children. Hugh died
12 Jun 1922.
9 Valentine O’Brien O’Connor, third son born circa 03.05.1811 was baptised at St Paul's,
Dublin. Of 3 Beresford Place and 8 Merrion Square he married Monica Errington on
04.09.1838. Monica was the daughter of William Errington of High Warden,
Northumberland. He was a JP, a member of the Royal Agricultural Society and High
Sheriff of Dublin in 1853. He was chairman of the Bandon and Cork Railway Company.
He purchased the Limerick estate of the Earl of Derby circa 1871 and leased Ballykisteen
House to Robert Heuston. Of Rockfield and Ballykisteen, Tipperary, Valentine died
13.09.1873 aged 62 and was buried in the vaults of the Pro Cathedral. He left 300K in
personal estate. Monica died 17.02.1880 at 8 Merrion Square.
1 Ellen Mary O’Connor eldest daughter born circa 16.07.1839 married Walter Hussey
Walsh of Cranagh and Mul-hussey, Roscommon son of John Hussey Walsh of
Kilduff, Kings County on 27.06.1860 at the Roman Catholic Church, Blackrock.
Walter died on 17.01.1904 and Ellen died on 20.09.1911 both at 81 Onslow
Gardens, London.
2 Mary Christina O’Connor 2nd daughter born circa 13.08.1840 married Major William
Blount of the Madras Army eldest son of William Blount of Orleton Hereford on
04.08.1859 at the Roman Catholic Church, Blackrock. Mary died late of El Dorado,
Stillorgan on 24.03.1874 at Bournemouth and William late of Albany Hall, Ballybrack
died on 05.11.1894 at 36 Duke Street, St James’ London.
3 Eliza Monica O’Connor 3rd daughter born circa 09.03.1842 married John Browne
son of Joseph Browne of Elmgrove, Meath on 21.09.1868 at St John’s Church,
Blackrock. John late of Santiago Banda Oriental, South America died on 20.01.1876
at 6 Fitzwilliam Square and Eliza late of 8 Merrion Square died on 09.12.1905.
4 Daughter O’Connor born 25.05.1843 at Hollyville, Blackrock.
5 Valentine O’Connor a twin born circa 12.12.1844 at Hollyville, Blackrock baptised at
Kingstown died on 17.02.1865 aged 20 years in Rome.
6 John O’Connor 2nd son a twin born circa 12.12.1844 at Hollyville, Blackrock baptised
at Kingstown died 04.05.1862 of Rockfield.
7 Margaret O’Connor youngest daughter born circa 26.07.1846 married Major Percy
Raymond Grace of the Royal Queen’s County Rifles son of late Sir William Grace, Bart,
Boley, Queens County on 25.06.1874 at the private Chapel, Eccles Street. Sir Percy died
on 16.08.1903 and Margaret died on 11.01.1923 aged 79 years both late of Boley,
Monkstown and were buried at Deansgrange.
8 David O’Connor born circa 18.01.1848 died 06.07.1848.
9 William O’Connor born 27.12.1850 at Rockfield, Blackrock married Rose Lawless only
daughter of Edmond B Lawless QC of Upper Temple Street on 07.05.1874 at the
Roman Catholic Cathedral, Marlborough Street. In 1876 he was noted as the owner
of 6178 acres of land in Tipperary. William formerly of Ballykisteen, Tipperary and
late of 9 Clifton Terrace, Monkstown, died on 05.04.1898 and Rose died late of 9
Clifton Terrace, at Monkstown Hospital on 20.01.1926 aged 73 years. They had no
issue.
