1 Rev Robert Herbert Nixon born circa 1782 married Dorothea Rose Morris daughter of John
Morris of Newstore, Meath. The family lived at Marino House. Robert was Rector of
Booterstown Parish for 24 years. Robert died on 22.01.1857 aged 75 years and Dorothea
died on 13.06.1867 both at Marino House.
2 Elizabeth born circa 1783 married Thomas Goold MP, Master in Chancery of Merrion Square
son of John Goold in July 1803. Thomas died on 16.07.1846 at Lisadell, Sligo and Elizabeth died
on 30.05.1854 at 21 Merrion Square, the residence of her son Wyndham Goold.
3 Catherine Anne Nixon born circa 1783. Catherine died on 13.09.1873 aged over 90 years at 20
Ely Place, Dublin.
4 Captain Brinsley Nixon born circa 1785 Brinsley of the 85th Light Infantry became Captain of
the 37th earlier in the year and died on 19.11.1813 aged 28 years of wounds received in leading
the forlorn hope at the storming of Fort St Christoval.
5 Captain Horatio Stopford Nixon RN 3rd son born circa 1787 married Charlotte Fergus 3rd daughter
of Walter Fergus of Strathore on 03.05.1824 at Kirkaldy, Fife. Horatio died 25.10.1838 on the West
India Station between the Bermudas and Halifax in command of her Majesty’s sloop of War the
Ringdove. Charlotte died on 08.03.1853 at 36 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh.
6 Rev Edward Nixon born circa 1788 married Lucy Catherine eldest daughter of the Rev Henry Wynne,
3rd son of Right Hon Owen Wynne of Hazelwood, Sligo on 01.01.1828 at Killucan Church. Edward the
Rector of Castletown died on 30.04.1847 at the Glebe after visiting the sick during the famine in
Ireland. Lucy died on 31.08.1883 aged 77 years at the residence of her son in law the Hon Edward
Stopford at Borris.
7 Frances Nixon youngest daughter born circa 1790 married Sir Stephen May of Belfast by special licence
on 17.01.1820 at Merrion Square the residence of Thos Goold. Frances died on 15.03.1842 at
Boulogne-sur-Mer and Stephen died 29.10.1845 at Bath.
