John (Edward) born 28 Sep 1859 in County Tipperary, son of Edmond Moore Mulcahy and Susan
Westropp Morgan. Edward graduated Trinity College and was called to the bar in 1885. He married
Susan Martha Hughes Campion at St Peter’s Church Dublin on 28 Apr 1886. Susan was the daughter
of William Bennett Campion, barrister and Sergeant at Law and his wife Martha. Edward was a
barrister and a farmer and lived at Larkfield, Clondalkin from 1888 to 1911 and was on the select
vestry at St John’s, Clondalkin. Two of their sons died during WW1 and another was a POW. They
were living at Lara House Rathdrum in 1916 and were at Roebuck Hill by 1918 before settling at
Greystones. Susie died at Delgany on 15 Jun 1821 and was buried at Redford, Greystones. Edward
died 14 Jul 1932 and was buried with his wife.
1 William Edmond Victor Mulcahy Morgan born 22 Jun 1887 at Moyle Park, Clondalkin. He
was resident at Roebuck Hill and married Maud Irene Murdock at St Bartholomew on
20 Jan 1919. Maud was the daughter of Robert Murdock of Tipperary. Maud died
23 Jan 1953 and was buried at Redford cemetery, Greystones. William died 9 Apr 1964 at
Clifton, Greystones and was buried with his wife.
2 Edward Spread Mulcahy Morgan born 10 Nov 1888 at Larkfield, Clondalkin. He was
commissioned to the 6th Battalion, Connaught Rangers in 1907. He fought with the Royal
Irish Rifles in WW1. He was reported missing on 27 Oct 1914 and later declared killed in
action. There is a memorial at St John's Church, Clondalkin and he is also remembered on the
Le Touret Memorial.
3 Thomas Westropp Mulcahy Morgan 9 Dec 1890 at Larkfield, Clondalkin. He enlisted and was
Captain with the Royal Irish Fusiliers and Royal Flying Corps. On a special mission he crashed
into a tree, whilst landing a Belgian Spy behind enemy lines on 13 Sep 1915. He was captured,
hospitalised, held in various Prisoner of War Camps and eventually escaped after nineteen
months by jumping from a train and made it to Holland. He was awarded the Military Cross
for distinguished service in the field in 1917. He married Barbara Mary Heape at St Paul’s,
Knightsbridge in March 1919. Barbara was the only daughter of Walter Heape, King's End
House, Bicester. A Wing Commander, he retired from the RAF in 1929.
1 Honor Patricia Mulcahy-Morgan born 27 May 1920 at Blything, Suffolk. Honor of
Cheltenham Ladies' College, was awarded the Dorothea Beale scholarship at St
Hilda's, Oxford in 1938.

4 Susan Lilian Mulcahy Morgan born 10 Aug 1892 at Larkfield, Clondalkin died a spinster at St
Michael’s Hospital, late of Clifton, Greystones, Co Wicklow on 1 Jan 1969.
5 Francis Campion Mulcahy Morgan born 5 Mar 1895 at Larkfield, Clondalkin He was educated
at St Chad's, Prestatyn, North Wales, and Portora Royal School. In October, 1914, he
obtained a commission in the Royal Irish Rifles. He went to the front in December 1915 and
died 6 Sep 1916. He is remembered on a memorial in St John’s Church, Clondalkin.
6 Robert Ronald Mulcahy Morgan born 1 May 1897 at Larkfield, Clondalkin attended the
Royal Naval College on the Isle of Wight. He served during WW1 and was promoted
commander in 1937.
7 Martha Kathleen Mulcahy-Morgan born 7 Apr 1899 at Larkfield attended the Royal Academy
of Music in London. She served with the Red Cross during WW1. She married Cyril H Wilson
at Plymouth in 1927.
8 Albina Isabell Mulcahy Morgan born 22 Sep 1901 at Larkfield, Clondalkin married Hastings
George Reginald Peet at Christ Church, Delgany on 2 Jan 1924. Hastings was a civil engineer
on the Nigerian Railways and the son of Hastings FitzEdward Peet, civil engineer.
