Kingstown.
3 Col James Aloysius Miley baptised on 06.11.1845 at St Mary’s Pro Cathedral. James of 12
Regt married Kate Watson daughter of William Watson of Lower Mount Street on
17.09.1868 at St Andrew’s Church, Westland Row. James ex Sandhurst joined the Army in
1865 and was formerly the Military Accountant General of India. James died on
26.02.1919 in London.
4 Thomas Miley born circa 1846.
5 Mary Miley youngest daughter baptised 06.02.1848 died on 23.02.1866 at the residence
of William Hayes, Sussex Parade, Kingstown.
6 Patrick Miley born circa 21.04.1850.
7 William Kildare Miley born circa 1852 Physician and Surgeon. William was living with his
mother in 1901 at Eaton Square, Monkstown and died a victim of the Maloja disaster on
27.02.1916 at sea.
8 Valentine O’Connell Miley born circa 26.02.1854.
9 Daniel O’Connell Miley 7th son born circa 04.10.1857 admitted a Solicitor in 1882. He was
the Solicitor Assistant Registrar of Friendly Societies in Ireland and married Elizabeth
Eleanor Rosenthal 2nd daughter of John Rosenthal of Harcourt Street on 07.08.1885 at the
Church of St Mary of the Angels, Bayswater. Daniel died on 06.11.1925 aged 67 years at
his residence 8 Ailesbury Road and Eleanor died on 24.12.1938. They are buried at
Deansgrange.
1 John Felix (Jack) Miley born 10.08.1886 at Palmerston Road married Mary Josephine
(Una) Minch daughter of Matthew Minch of Ailesbury Road on 21.09.1921. They were
both Irish lawn tennis players. Jack was winner of the men’s singles competition in
1920.
2 Valentine William Miley born 15.06.1888 at Palmerston Road married Millicent
Maureen Curran daughter of James A Curran of High Thorn, Kingstown on 12.06.1918
at the Roman Catholic Church in Kingstown.
10 Roderick Miley born circa 11.05.1858 died late of 36 York Road, Kingstown on
08.12.1890 at St John of God Hospital.
