Cornelius Mannin born circa 1836 son of Joseph Mannin of Hill View and his wife Mary
O'Connor. He married Frances Plunkett on 14.02.1860. Frances was the 2nd eldest
daughter of George Plunket, a solicitor of St John’s Terrace, Clontarf. His mother died in
1860 aged 53 and his father (the builder of Hill View Terrace at Clontarf Sheds) died in
1865 aged 67 at No 3 Hill View Terrace. Cornelius and his brother Thomas, an architect
were his executors. The Mannins lived at Talbot House from 1878 to 1883.
Cornelius was the proprietor of a pharmaceutical chemist and druggist business of 2
Brunswick Street. The premises at Brunswick Street was seriously damaged by fire in
1888. Frances died 09.01.1903 at Leeson Street and was buried at Glasnevin. Cornelius
died 22.07.1913 and was buried with his wife.

3 Susan Mannin, a twin born 06.11.1865 at 3 Clonliffe Terrace, Drumcondra baptised
at St Agatha’s and died an infant in same year.
4 Frances Amelia Mannin, a twin born 06.11.1865 at 3 Clonliffe Terrace, Drumcondra
baptised at St Agatha’s (Sponsors George and Susannah Plunkett) and died an
infant in same year.
5 George Mannin born 11.09.1866 at 2 Vernon Parade, Clontarf and died an infant in
same year.
6 Francis Aloysius Mannin born 08.10.1867 at 2 Vernon Parade, Clontarf. Francis a
chemist married Christina Teresa Clinton daughter of John Clinton on 07.06.1904 at
the Roman Catholic Chapel, Dolphins Barn. Francis, a druggist was living with his
family in 1911 at Merchant's Quay. Francis died at the Meath Hospital survived by
his wife and son. Christina died in 1955, her son John the informant.
7 Eileen Mannin born circa 1869 living with her father in 1911 at 2 Upper Mount
Street. Eileen died unmarried in 1937, her brother Cornelius the informant.
8 Lilian Josephine Mannin born 04.06.1871 at Hillview Terrace, Clontarf living with her
father in 1911 at 2 Upper Mount Street. Lily died unmarried at 10 Mount Street
Crescent in 1941.
9 Ada Mary Louisa Mannin born 15.11.1873 at Hillview Terrace, Clontarf living with her
father in 1911 at 2 Upper Mount Street. Ada was a shop assistant and died
unmarried late of 10 Mount Street Crescent in 1938.
10 Joseph Mannin born 01.02.1875 at Hillview Terrace, Clontarf and died an infant
on same day.
11 Mabel Mannin born circa 1881. Mabel aged 31 years living with her sister Evelyn at
Sea Road, Hill View Terrace in 1911. Mabel died unmarried in 1952.
12 Cornelius Plunkett Mannin born 09.10.1882 at Talbot House, Blackrock living with
his father in 1911 at 2 Upper Mount Street. Cornelius a chemist died unmarried
on 28.11.1891 aged 79 years at St Brendan’s Hospital late of 41 South Circular Road.
