of late John Hyde of Cregg, Cork in April 1804. Wilson refers to the residence of John Hyde,
"near the ruins of Creg Castle" in 1786.

died 1822.
John secondly married Catherine Mary Hyde on 02.04.1804 at Cork. John died at his residence
South Mall Cork on 14.07.1841 aged 75. Catherine died 30.2.1851 aged 79 and was buried at
Lislee Cemetery.
2 Rev John Leslie eldest son born circa 1804 married Elizabeth Travers youngest
daughter of late Jonas Travers of Butlerstown, Cork in November 1828 at
Timoleague Church. John died circa 1838.

3 Sarah Leslie eldest daughter born circa 1806 married Rev James Allen, Rector of
Creagh, son of William Allen of Liscongill on 18.09.1845 at Lislee Church, Cork.
4 Henry James Leslie born circa 1808 a barrister at law married Frances Andrews
youngest daughter of Lieut James Andrews of Comber, Down on 06.04.1841 at
Comber Church, County Down. The Leslies lived at Belfield, Dundrum from 1871 to
1895 and Henry frequently presided over the Dundrum Petty session which were
held on the Barrack Hill (Upper Kilmacud Road) and was known for his legal acumen
and sound sense, Henry died on 16.09.1888 aged 80 years and Frances died on
25.03.1895 aged 88 years both at Belfield in Roebuck Park.
1 Mary Catherine Leslie born 27.02.1848 at 14 Pembroke Street. Mary died
unmarried on 08.04.1920 aged 72 years at Upper Pembroke Street. James

5 James Edward Leslie born circa 1811 married Elizabeth Mary Colthurst youngest
daughter of late Major General Sir Robert Travers on 25.10.1849 at the Cathedral,
Cork. Elizabeth died on 25.01.1875 at Leecarroo, Passage West. James died on
21.05.1888 aged 77 years at his residence Leecarrow, Passage West, Cork.
1 Robert Henry Leslie born circa 1852 married Eva Sarah Tuckey 2nd
daughter of late Abraham Tuckey MD of Bantry on 17.04.1888 at St Ann’s
Shandon Church.
6 William Burton Leslie born circa 1813 married Jane Florence MacCartie Townsend,
daughter of Justin MacCartie and Widow of Rev Horatio Townsend, Rector of
Carrigaline, Cork on 08.06.1847 in Frankfort, Germany. Jane died on 03.03.1895
aged 81 years and William died on 12.01.1900 aged 87 years both at Cortmacsherry.
Probate to Horace Townsend retired Captain in HM army and Robert Henry Leslie,
Railway Secretary.
7 Anne Elizabeth Leslie 2nd daughter born circa 1816 married Charles James Andrews
a Barrister son of James Andrews of Comber on 19.10.1839 at Lislee Church, Cork.
